Full description
Begin your day with a pickup and travel to Ardales. Make a stop at the Venta El Cruce, which is a local restaurant with plenty of typical local products and delicacies. Return to the coach and continue until you reach the northern access point of the Caminito del Rey. Walk through a small long tunnel to reach the natural paths that lead to the entrance checkpoint of the gorges. Receive a helmet and listen to the safety instructions. Your guide will join you and explain to you what you will find during the trek and give you many hints about the history of this peculiar construction. The Gorge, called Desfiladero de los Gaitanes, is a natural pass across the hills that separate the Malaga coast line from the inlands. The River Guadalhorce flows at the bottom of the gorges, after having passed through the reservoirs. El Chorro means the Spurt and your guide will explain why.  El Caminito de Rey, after many year of total abandonment, is now a rebuilt path that stretches between two gorges or canyons and a large valley. It is safe and comfortable to walk as most of the path is flat or downhill. The route goes in one direction downhill from the north to the south. The bus will be waiting at the exit point. Once the group in on board the coach, you will return to the Costa del Sol and be dropped off at your pickup point.

Comfortable bus and walking without guide

The bus picked us up in Malaga. After a small breakfast we started the walking (a bit later then expected, because of the the long queues). Once you enter the route, you walk on our own, no guide. You already got some info in the bus and it’s very relaxing to be able to walk at your own pace. The bus trip back was quick (maybe because of the nap :) ) and we arrived back in Malaga by 14:45

Trip was amazing and definetely recommended to evryone! Nature is marvelous. Trip didint last 8h how it is on website- we were back in Malaga about 13-14, so it was 4-5h. Small breakfast included. Our guide was great, he said only important informations, we didnt get bored. One thing - be carful for time of Your reservations!! It is 8.50 on getyourguide and even in the evening the day before we got email with informations that bus leaves at 8.50. We got to the place - noone there. After calling we found out that trip was at 8.20 and noone informed us about it. Not even call in the morning that the bus is waiting. Luckily we were in Malaga for two more days so we agreed to go on a trip next day, but if we miss that because of company misteake we would be really angry. So one tip- contact directly with agency one day before and check time of departure.

Great views but had to rush the walk

Everything was organized pretty well. Guide was great. Small and quick breakfast was nice before the walk. The bit over 7km hike was brilliant. Views were stunning. At the end it got bit crowded and you couldn’t walk in your own pace but was forced to walk in a long line with several different groups that had earlier access to the path. That was only negative thing. Bus ride was nice also
