Took this tour with 4 people we did not know. Miguel, our guide, was wonderful. 2 of us had slight mobility problems and Miguel was very accommodating. It helped that the 4 other people were a family, since it was the dad with mobility problems, there was no one to be put out. Girona was beautiful. When we got there we went to a cafe for coffee and a snack, restroom break, then Miguel walked us through the city. He was so well informed and entertaining. When we left he walked us back to the snack place. Then we left for the fishing village instead of Pals because it was full of steep hills. The village was on the sea. We had a fantastic lunch overlooking the beautiful sea. Then we walked around some. There was not a lot open due to off season. Instead of taking us to Pals he took us to a lighthouse way up on a hill. The views were so incredible. We all loved it. I would highly recommend Miguel as a guide. We travel often and have had many guides and he was one of the best.
First, the hotel/lodging location pick up and drop off was fantastic. Our guide Oriol was excellent. His knowledge on Dali and on details was impressive. There was no question he could not answer. His knowledge about the region and on Spain was all extremely valuable. He is also a very likable guy to spend the day with. The group is maximum at 8 guests and there is no cancellation regardless of how many have signed up. That is also excellent. His recommendation for things to do while at the sites and on our own have all been spot on. I needed to use an ATM and Oriol provided assistance to find on en route and provided help to ensure that is was done. Greatly appreciated. I would recommend him highly. Many little touches of high service and care that are too numerous to mention. I would recommend to to anyone interested in a Dali day with an expert. It was great to experience the Dali Theatre museum, and to see his home along the shore.
Our guide Gloria and driver Marcelo were brilliant. Very well organised and everything ran to a good schedule with enough time to look around the museum in Figures, lunch at Cadaques and Port Lligat. Gloria was really enthusiastic and knowledgable. She told us all about Dali, his childhood, upbringing, friendship and relationships that shaped him into the artist he became. She came into the museum explaining some pieces of art and then left us to explore. We then made our way to Cadaques where Dali lived with as a child, we have time to stop for lunch overlooking the seafront and a walk to the church. Next stop Dali’s home in Port Lligat, she came around the house with us and the guide. We had time to explore the gardens. I can’t express how well the tour is put together, didn’t feel rushed and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Beautiful scenery and places to visit.
This was an awesome experience. It’s outside of Barcelona, we went in February so the places were not crowded and it was really enjoyable. Our guide Miguel was great, he even extended our tour though a larger part of Girona.
