Full description
Depart Porto and explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Scandola Nature Reserve to experience one of the last Mediterranean enclaves to provide shelter for endemic flora and birdlife such as ospreys and peregrine falcons. Created in 1975, the nature reserve is only accessible by sea and subject to strict protection. Cruise through the reserve, rich with marine life and seabirds, on board a 12-seater, semi-rigid boat. Stop in the remote coastal village of Girolata and marvel at its stunning setting surrounded by the sea. During the winter, the village becomes a secluded backwater with only about 15 residents. It was nearly abandoned at the end of the war, but tourism has restored its fortunes. Then, venture into the Calanche de Piana and discover an outstanding landscape of pink granite rocks shaped over the centuries by changes in the temperature, strong winds and sea spray. Explore the geological diversity of the rocks and originality of their locations that give a particular aspect to the area. Jump into the crystal blue waters for a cooling swim in a natural pool!

Very good ride with great discoveries!

Very good, with a pleasant guide! Magnificent excursion to do in Corsica! You will not be disappointed with the trip! Only small negative point, can be noted on the site that it is necessary to present 15min before (as it is done on other services on GetYourGuide) we left at 2:02 pm (we had appointment at 2:00 pm) without a couple who had rule ! Super boat trip

We went with the organizer Nave Va in a small motorboat for 8 people to La Scandola and the fishing village of Girolata. The tour was very informative, our guide knew a lot about the UNESCO World Heritage and even translated all information especially for us in English, although the tour could only be booked in French. Definitely recommendable and a great experience!

Departure at 9am, we were lucky to be only 5 on the boat which allowed us to move easily and to make ourselves comfortable. First place the Scandola reserve, so magnificent! . Then head to Girolata only accessible by boat or on foot! Splendid village! Then a short swim of ten minutes at "the swimming pool" and this adventure ended on the creeks of Piana Our guide is called Boris! Thank you to him, professional until the end, very nice!
