Full description

Meet your experienced guide outside the Mosque-Cathedral. After being provided with a headset, start your tour by listening to an introduction to the history of the mosque. Explore the courtyard of the complex, called the Patio de los Naranjos.

Soak up the atmosphere of this peaceful space with lots of greenery, and marvel at the beautiful Bell Tower. Then skip the ticket line to enter the monument without any hassle. Follow your guide as they take you around the mosque.

Admire the Prayer Hall, the Mihrab, and the famous red and white arches, and take pictures as you go around. Your guide will tell you about the different expansions of the building, and all the hidden details of the architecture.

Next, join a walking tour around the historical Jewish Quarter, a must-do when in Córdoba. Start in Calleja de la Hoguera, where your guide will discuss the Jewish heritage of the area and its importance in the city's development.

Stroll around the El Zoco artisans market, the picturesque Plaza del Cardenal Salazar, and the narrow Calleja de la luna. See the souk, the Chapel of Saint Bartholomew, and the statue of one of the most important thinkers in the world: Maimónides.

Also, head inside the Synagogue, one of the best-preserved in Spain.

Our tour guide was very experienced & gave a very full explanation of the Mesquita, however at times it was a little too detailed in the archaeology & did sometimes lose us & others in the group. Overall it was good tour with a lot of history of the building which was very informative & interesting. Our tour guide for the Jewish Quarter was easy to understand & the tour was informative & interesting but extremely busy with long queues to view buildings. Both tours were a good introduction to Cordoba's history and well worth the experience if you have never visited before.

The guide, Irene, great. Precise historical data, and the tour inside the Mosque - Cathedral helps to understand the different stages it went through, which coincided with the different stages of the emirate - caliphate. Out of ten, a pleasant and graceful tour. On the other hand, the tour of the Jewish quarter with Susana was a bit disappointing, not because of the guide itself, but because the tour, despite being beautiful, does not have differential structural elements or that make it stand out too much in a historical sense. In addition, the things that are explained on the tour are more about some illustrious character who lived there than the neighborhood itself. Despite this, I would 100% recommend the tour, the Mosque - Cathedral part is a must.
