Full description
Explore New Orleans in a fun and eco-friendly way on a small-group bike tour that winds through the Big Easy’s oldest and most distinctive neighborhoods. Cycle along a flat and leisurely route from the famous French Quarter to less-visited neighborhoods like Esplanade Ridge, City Park, and Bayou St. John, learning about the city’s rich history and modern culture along the way. After getting fitted on a bike in the French Quarter, ride through this storied neighborhood. Then go beyond the touristy boundaries to explore more of the city, following leafy Esplanade Avenue to the green expanse of City Park, visiting St. Louis Cemetery No. 3, and other interesting locations along the way. After visiting St. Louis Cemetery No. 3, cruise past swampy vistas in City Park. You'll traverse through Bayou St. John, a historic waterway that was used by Native Americans and French settlers alike, and learn why it was so instrumental in the city's founding. This bike tour includes visits to the French Quarter, Faubourg Marigny, Esplanade Avenue, St. Louis Cemetery No. 3, City Park, Bayou St. John, Mid-City, the Lafitte Greenway, Louis Armstrong Park, and Congo Square.

Jeremy was a fantastic guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable about New Orleans history and local hot spots. We also loved how he added a personal touch of the history of jazz because he himself is a musician. Would definitely recommend this tour if you're visiting New Orleans. It was a great way to get to know the city!

The city bike tour was waaaaaay better than I expected. Our tour guide, Jeremy, was absolutely AMAZING, I cannot stress that enough. He explained what was in store for us, helped adjust our bike as needed, and was very patient with answering all our questions before the ride. The ride itself was great. A majority of the bike ride was away from the main traffic. We explored beautiful areas of New Orleans that the average tourist would not visit. We stopped several times so Jeremy could explain to us why a particular site, house, or business was important to the history of New Orleans. I'm not a very active person (but my friends who joined me are) so I thought the bike ride would be a bit strenuous for me but surprisingly it wasn't. I lost a little steam towards the end but was still able finish. If you're on the fence about booking the city bike tour I'm hear to tell you DO IT. It will make your vacation very memorable!

First want to get the suggestions out the way.. please slow down & check on the riders that lags behind the group. Some almost got hit by cars, please make sure everyone is alright. Also please place a couple of wider bike seats on some of the bikes for “bigger bottoms “ for comfort. Now the tour was great, Jeremiah was excellent & provided so much information. I learned so much about New Orleans history & culture.
