Journey along the most beautiful beaches as you go in search of natural rock arches and sea caves. Stop to swim at the most beautiful beaches that can only be reached by boat and take advantage of the opportunity to swim inside caves with crystal clear waters. Leave Amalfi and head towards the first cave of Sant'Andrea, patron saint of Amalfi, a large sea cave full of stalactites. Soon after, make your way to a natural rock arch and admire the unusual formation that resembles 2 kissing elephants. As you continue your journey, admire the seaside town of Conca dei Marini where the wonderful villa of the actress Sophia Loren is located, and see the historic Borgo Sant'Andre hotel, a majestic structure that has recently been completely renovated. From here you will also have a beautiful view of the Santa Rosa monastery, an old convent of Dominican nuns, now transformed into the most important Hotel SPA in the world. After the city of Conca dei Marini, head towards one of the most beautiful fjords in the world, the Furore fjord, unique in Italy and home to the most important diving competition in the world, the "Marmeeting@" where every year professionals from all over the world compete jumping from the top of the bridge which is 28 meters above sea level. Here, you'll visit the Africana cave, where the water has an intense blue color and where it is possible to dive and swim to admire this wonderful and natural cave from inside. Board an Amalfitan Gozzo boat for a scenic ride along the Amalfi coast. Admire natural wonders, including the Natural Arch and Faraglioni Rocks. Swim and snorkel or relax on the shores of secluded beaches. Once everybody has jumped on board and had a little briefing about how you're going to spend the day, you will be ready to set off to the west towards Positano. The route will take you along Amalfi Coast’s finest beaches as well as close to natural rock arches and into sea caves, giving you the opportunity to admire the old watchtowers that dot the entire length of this coast. You will pause at beaches reachable only by sea and have time to go snorkeling or swimming in crystal-clear waters and into grottoes. Not too far from the starting point, right after leaving the center of Amalfi, you will get close to Saint Andrew's Grotto, a huge natural sea cave full of stalactites named after the patron saint of Amalfi (Andrea). Then, once passed Duoglio and Santa Croce beaches, you will stop by the "Arc of Lovers", a natural rock arch created millions of years ago by the erosion of the sea whose shape recalls two elephants in the act of kissing. Up to not too long ago young couples used to get married on the top of it. A little later you will cruise in front of the ancient fishing village of Conca dei Marini, passing near the villa of Sophia Loren and seeing the historic hotel “Il Saraceno” located on La Vite Beach. From here you will also have a stunning view of the Santa Rosa Monastery, a former convent now converted into a luxury hotel, once home of the Dominican nuns. It's right in the kitchens of this monastery that the delicious "Sfogliatella Santa Rosa" was born, a shell-shaped pastry filled with ricotta cheese-based cream and little dried fruit pieces, typical of the local culinary tradition (don't forget to taste it before leaving!). Once past the seaside of Conca dei Marini you will enter its western basin, where you will have a beautiful view of Furore and Praiano villages and the islands of Li Galli and Capri, together with the well-known Faraglioni Rocks. Further inside this basin we will find the little Runghetiello Grotto and its tiny beach, where you will anchor for a break to go swimming or snorkeling. You will reach then the famous Furore Fjord, the only natural fjord in Italy and location of the international diving competition "MarMeeting": every year in July, professional divers from around the world compete by jumping from the top of the bridge which is 28 meters high. Navigating a little farther onward to the village of Praiano you will be able to have a close look at a bigger sea cave, the Africana Grotto, where the water has a distinctive blue color thanks to the unique refraction of light. Finally you will go round Capo Sottile and continue cruising to Positano, where you will have another break for snorkeling at a beach reachable only by the sea and so not crowded at all: La Porta. The return trip to Amalfi will give you a different but equally remarkable view of both sea and land.

What people are saying about Conca dei Marini

Outstanding. The best small group tour we’ve experienced. Tony, our guide, was engaging, informative, enthusiastic…a great host. The 90 minute stops on Amalfi and Positano were the right length…this is not a tour focused on the two towns, it’s all about the scenery and the ride. We’ve been to the Amalfi Coast three times, and you really can’t fully appreciate it until you see it be boat. It is truly awesome. It was a perfect way to spend a day, well worth it. We’d do it again!!

This was a very fun and exciting experience. The zipline is high and long so goes without saying that its not for those with a fear of heights. Worth planning your journey there beforehand whether you drive, taxi or walk. We decided to take the 1000+ steps to get there in the morning and arrived earlier than expected. We had to wait a little while to get ready but after that, everything worked very smoothly.

Francesco was an amazing Captain…..! Knowledgeable and Professional while creating an intimate journey . Sharing historical facts combined wonderful stories at each spectacular site. We also enjoyed an extraordinary lunch at Ristorante Maria Grazia on the way back to Amalfi .My wife said it was the best touring experience of her life ….Worth every penny.

Went with wife during honeymoon. Amazing experience and quick day trip to see the coastal cities! Small group/boat was perfect and hotel pickup was extremely convenient as well. Totally recommend!

Wonderful tour!! Great guide and information, small group, and great stops in amalfi, positano, and other spots to swim (though beware of jellyfish!). Would highly recommend!!
