Purchased the 3 day Yellow Bus pass for my parents, and my brother and I so that we could tour around Lisbon. This pass provides incredible value and it is such an easy way to get around this awesome city. Even though we were travelling in winter season and some routes of the Yellow Bus operate on a slightly modified schedule, the buses were always on time. The boat pass provided a really fun way to see another side of Lisbon. And of course, no trip to Lisbon is complete without a tram ride through Alfama, Baixa, Bairro Alta and beyond. We also used the pass to take the Santa Justa Elevator. You really can't beat the value of this pass especially when in Lisbon for three days!
The tour was nice, although it wasn't so easy to find the guides in the first place. Pedro took his time and answered all the questions, the atmosphere was very good and we learned a lot about the habits and local gastronomic specialities. This tour is escpecially good for the start of your journey in Lisbon since you get to know nice places for views, where to eat etc. .
We stayed on the bus for the whole route and came back the next day to see the boat tour and the hills tour on the Tram. The audio narration did not work on the bus but worked on the Tram. We had great weather (21C) for the whole visit. Cannot imagine how miserable it would be with inclement weather.
My 8yo and I went on the tour, and we had a great time. The views were spectacular, and it was fun to learn the history of what we were seeing. The city at sunset from the water is a view not to be missed! The captain was friendly, accommodating and great with my kiddo. My son loved being able to steer the boat- he was so proud of himself! Definitely a fun family activity.
This kind of ticket tour is brilliant. Especially if you really want to see the sights. Get off and on at any of the stops along the way or just stay on and have a driving tour. I especially enjoyed the trams. You can see everything at your leisure and don't have to cram things in. Will definitely use this type of tour again.
