Tour was good, guide was very informative. Only problem is after I booked this I messaged Crown tours to see if it also included access to the roman forum and was told that it didnt so I then purchased an audio guided tour of the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill which I went to before my guided tour with Crown Tours. After the tour with Crown Tours our guide then told us we were free to roam the Colosseum and pur ticket granted us access to the Roman Forum. If I knew this before hand I wouldnt have wasted money on the audio guided tour so feel I was mis informed by Crown Tours about what my ticket actually did give me access to and wasted money as a result of this.

We were pleased with the quick access and our guide was very informative, the tour was interesting and we really enjoyed visiting the Colosseum, if I was just reviewing our guide, I'd give 5 stars. I feel the price was expensive for the additional underground visit, based on the cost of entry and was very disappointed to realise the ticket didn't include the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, although we were given the opportunity to purchase a ticket for these for an additional €5. Considering the cost of the tour, these should really have been included as it is for all other tickets.

The tour was run by Crown Tours. People were lovely but they were not quite as organised in the meeting and greeting as we had the day before with the Vatican tour by I Love Rome. We had two different guides. Both were excellent one did the coliseum the other took us from the coliseum up to the palatine hill and the forum.

We enjoyed the tour, such as it was. The tour was supposed to be 2 hours. It was really about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Also, it was described as a tour of the underground Colosseum, and we spent much more time above ground than below.

To experience the areas that the Gladiators did, was something we had always wanted to do and it did not disappoint. Very atmospheric and much more what we wanted than simply walking where the spectators did.
