Speak to a monk and learn about these traditions before leaving the place. 16:45 Arrive at the Kalaniya Temple which is one of the most important Buddhist sanctuaries in Sri Lanka as it is one of the three locations that the lord Buddha has visited in Sri Lanka. Lord Buddha visited Kelaniya to stop the war between two brothers called ‘Chulodara’ and Mahodara’ over a jewel encrusted throne. 18:00 Leave the temple and proceed back to your hotel in Colombo or Mount Lavinia. You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Colombo and taken by tuk tuk to the Parliament Building where you’ll meet your guide for an exciting 4-hour countryside cycling expedition.
