What people are saying about Coimbra District

Excellent introduction to Coimbra Fado. Brilliant musicians. Excellent singers. Interesting historical photos and videos projected on to a screen behind the performers. Travel guru Rick Steves recommends this venue as his favourite place for Fado and we’re glad we followed his advice!

50 minutes of Portuguese fado With presentation in Portuguese and English Excellent musicians and male singers too A beautiful explanation of this fado that you only see in Coimbra

Wonderful introduction to the genre of Fado. Great host and performances with a taste of port after the show. Enjoyed the smaller, intimate venue.

We loved this Fado Performance. They told a history before each song they performed. The music was lovely. Very well done. Highly recommend.

Loved the performance and the wine afterwards. Really great hour.
