We start our guided tour in Thessaloniki making a stop in the Arch of Galerius, which is located at the downtown of the city. This Arch of Triumph with impressive marble sculptures is a Part of the Roman ceasar Galerius complex. The church of Saint Dimitios - the patron Saint of the city is the most important early Christian church of the city and one of the oldest and largest in Greece, dedicated to the city's parton saint, Dimitrios. The Heptapyrgion, modern Eptapyrgio, also popularly known by its Ottoman Turkish name Yedi Kule. It is a Byzantine and Ottoman-era fortress situated on the north-eastern corner of the Acropolis of Thessaloniki. Then, we walk across the Walls of Thessaloniki learning about Thessaloniki's medieval history and viewing the city from unique spots.
