Alcatraz way cooler than expected, bus a great way to see the city!

Our bus commentator (not on every bus) was hilarious and informative. When we were on a bus without the live person, the recorded info was great to listen to as well. Doing the combo tour let us see alcatraz when tickets were sold out everywhere! Alcatraz was also a welcome surprise. So much cooler than anticipated. We listened to the audio and hopped back on the boat. Took about 1 hour. We were cramming our days so didn't have much more time to spend than that, but definitely worthwhile!

All you need to get the San Francisco experience. Great that the big bus tour can run over three days ( three tours on that package and you do not have to do them at the same time as the hop on hop off bus. ( wish I’d known before as was in San Francisco only for 3 days and couldn’t do the Salsalito tour. Tour guides knowledgable professional and interactive. Very good

Lee at the Big Bus store #1 was excellent in explaining the tour and the whole trip went as planned. Just with Big Bus, there were no ushers or clarity on where to stand in line so people were kind of crowding and were trying to climb the bus willy nilly. The App wasn’t very helpful. At one point it showed the bus was in the bay.

Everything went smooth and easy and it was a great experience. My highlight was the audio guide tour through the former cells in the Alcatraz prison, definitely a MUST when in SF.

Very enjoyable. Some of the earphone jacks in the bus were a bit finicky and hi had to jiggle the plug to make them work.
