Full description

Avoid the long lines at one of the most visited archaeological sites in Mexico with this Chichén Itzá skip-the-line entry ticket. Enter directly to the archaeological site and spend the day exploring the Mayan ruins at your own pace. Discover how this large pre-Columbian city played an important role in the Mayan civilization from around 600 to 1200 AD, and remained a center of worship and pilgrimage until the arrival of the Spaniards. Even today, it is still considered sacred by the Mayan people of the Yucatan peninsula. Like many of the cities of ancient Mexico, the site was abandoned, and its ruins were hidden in the jungle. Experience its rich history and stunning ruins.

It’s a bit tricky to find, as there is no sign for these guys but around the corner there is a small kiosk right next to the entrance turnstiles where you collect the tickets. Then you still have to enter through the normal queue. The only thing you skip is the ticket purchase line. So go early around 8am and then you could just do it on your own.

We went to the opening site. This way we were able to enjoy a visit with very few people. It was nice to be able to move around freely and take pictures before the tourist influx. The site itself is relatively large and there are quite a few things to see.

The store you go to is just to the right of the final entrance but it’s slightly hidden. A man that was offering yours told us we couldn’t use it and would have to wait in line and buy proper tickets seeing as they don’t work. He lied lol so make sure you ask a few people if you can’t find the store. It was so easy and quick in the end but they do try to get you to re pay!
