We recently spent two weeks in Thailand and this trip was the absolute highlight. We were collected from our hotel at 4:30 am by Nick, our guide, and our driver (whose name I’m embarrassed to have forgotten) in a clean and comfortable, air conditioned mini van. During our journey to the temple we enjoyed learning about Chiang Mai and Buddhism from Nick who was formerly a monk so was able to share incredible insight and answer our many questions. We were delighted to discover we were the first people to arrive at Doi Suthep - it was so still and peaceful. A truly magical experience. The next two temples were fascinating and Nick was wonderful in seeking out points of interest to the children who were just as enamoured with the whole experience as we were. Nick was an absolute dream guide. We feel so lucky to have had this experience and know it would not have been the same without him to guide and teach us about what we were looking at.

they picked us up at the hotel. our guide was Nancy. she was great, very knowledgeable and fun. We got to see the monks during their morning prayers and the sunrise at the temple. after sunrise we donated some snacks to the monks and they gave us their blessings. after that we visited 2 more quiet temples, which had stunning gardens. A lifetime experience, definitely worth the early alarm.

The tour started early in the morning but the tour was worth it! The guide was Pattarapong, who was very humourous . He spoke excellent English. He used to be a monk, and gave a lot of qualified information on the three temples. I learnt a lot ! Quite honestly, there is not enough time to see all of three temples because the tour is a brief introduction to the salient features of each one. And you can easily always make your way to the three temples again if you are so inclined. The highlight of the tour was seeing sunrise at Dou Sutthep so I would recommend this tour.
