Despite torrential rain we enjoyed our tour yesterday

Amazing to see the small set areas that seem so large when watching “Call the Midwife”. A real insight into the making of parts of this wonderful series. Our tour guide dressed as a midwife from days gone by enhanced our enjoyment and her photo box was good to remind us of the parts she was talking about at different parts of the site. Sadly it was torrential rain so we were drenched after the 90 mins and unable to enjoy any of the other displays so it made it an expensive activity but that is hardly your fault. Hope we will be able to visit again in the future and fingers crossed we might be lucky enough to see actual filming happening.

Loved the tour! Well worth taking. Tour guide, Laura I believe, was well informed and enthusiastic. I would have appreciated more detailed instructions as to how exactly to get there. Especially if taking the train to Chatham. Walking instructions were vague, with people saying the walk was 15 min, and some saying 30-40 min. We walked and it took at least 30 min. Signage at the train station indicating what was bus would go by the dockyard would be helpful. And for walkers, where do we turn down to get to the actual Dockyard entrance. We would not have walked had we known how long it would have taken. We just made it to the tour.

A very interesting and informative tour with a very good guide

A very good visit and a very interesting and informative tour with a very good guide and the most important thing was that my wife really enjoyed the whole day as she is a avid watcher of call the midwife and she has watched every single episode on TV and she has got most of the books just a shame the photo album the guide showed us is not available to buy in the shops but may be it will be available in the future if so she will be getting one Mr Colin David Murch.

Very good lady who walked us around the site.

It was a very interesting tour no film sets at all though but lots of the buildings thst are used in call the midwife were good to see. Was a windy day but still very enjoyable, not sure how it would have been if had been raining, as apart from a short stop inside it was all outside.

Absolutely brilliant, don't miss this amazing tour.

The tour was brilliant the lady was full of knowledge and told the story brilliantly. I will recommend this tour to anyone even if you are not a die hard fan. We even had my 3 week old grandbaby with us and they accommodated her brilliantly.
