Meet your friendly guide at the local partner’s office and get kitted out with the necessary Segway gear then set out onto the charming streets of Chania where adventure awaits. Head into the Eastern part of Chania’s Old City and discover the remainders of the Ottoman rule as you explore the Turkish neighborhoods here. Glide along traditional cobble streets and narrow alleyways while learning about the fascinating history of the districts throughout the ages. Along the way, see the most iconic sights and landmarks, including the impressive Venetian walls and Koum Kapi.

Cruise through the night scenery of the beautiful Old City of Chania. Explore the Old Venetian Port on 2 wheels. Glide past the Venetian Gate, which is the only perserved gate of the Venetian fortifications. In the Kum Kapi area, the Turkish district of Chania, find a myriad cafeterias and local Greek taverns.   On the way, soak up some historical information about the monuments and landmarks you pass. Follow your guide through the night, as he/she reveals the secret paths of the Old City, and any tips they might have. Discover the exterior of the east Venetian walls, near the sandy beaches of the Kum Kapi area, which in the old days was a village of poor North African slaves. Throughout your Segway tour, historical information will be provided from your audio-guide system. The Halepa area played an important role in the history of Crete, as the famous "Halepa Agreement" was signed on October 1878 between Ottomans and Cretans for the assignment of a limited autonomous regime in the island. You will also see traditional and beautiful buildings, as well as the Consulates of the Great Powers, the school of San Joseph (where nuns taught French and savoir vivre to the rich girls), the Palace (which was the house of the High Commissioner Prince George in 1898), and the Residence of the Prime Minister of Greece (Eleftherios Venizelos). You will also see the elegant church of Aghia Magdalene, which was built by Prince George and dedicated to Mary Magdalene in commemoration of a visit of his sister Maria to Chania, the wife of the Grand Duke of Russia. Before your tour ends, you will be able to enjoy a small tasting in the district of Splantzia.

Follow your guide to see Chania's major sights and historical landmark, the Old Venetian Harbor.  Cruise east towards the Kum Kapi area until reaching the former aristocratic area of Halepa. Learn about the neighborhood's turbulent and political 19th-century history. From here head back to the old city and into to the Splantzia district, once the Turkish quarter.  Along the way listen to your guide as they provide historical information through your audio guide headset.
