    1. From Rethymno: Elafonissi Pink Sand Beach Small Group Tour

This is your chance to visit one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Elafonissi is truly a heaven on earth, with soft white/pink sand, exotic crystal-clear water and cedar trees that extend down to the coastline. It is located in the easily accessible, south-western side of Crete. You will be picked-up you from your hotel area around 8.00AM, with these trips being conducted in small groups allowing for better comfort. Your first stop where you will be able to have a short break is the Aghia Sophia cave. Here you can visit the cave, and have coffee or refreshments if you choose. Following this, you will depart for Elafonissi. Well organised trip with friendly and knowledgable guide Barbara and excellent driver Costas. Good value for money as it is a full 12 hour day trip through stunning Cretan scenery to the paradise beach with a few stop offs. Ideal if you dont have a car. Would recommend.

  • From Souda Port of Chania: Private Sailing Cruise with Meal

    2. From Souda Port of Chania: Private Sailing Cruise with Meal

At 9:30 AM sail east out of the bay past the Souda Fortress on a small uninhabited island. If the winds are favorable stop to take a dip or some photos at the pebbled beach of the scenic white chapel of Agiannis. Follow the coast on the wind and marvel at views of the Ottoman fort high up on the hills and the fort of the Idjedin prison just below it. Continue past the seaside villages of Kalyves and Almyrida, around the Isle of Karga before reaching the lighthouse on the peninsula of Drapano. Again, if the gods of the winds are with you the boat will anchor in a tiny, secret cove for another quick swim. The wind will dictate if the boat sails northeast to a very small cove with beautiful sandy waters or otherwise northwest around another small island to a beautiful lagoon. Either way, the White Mountains (Lefka Ori) will be in view, serving as the backdrop to the cruise. After dropping...

A very nice tour to Elafonissi. The tour guide Barbara was extremely nice and hard-working, and she also told a lot of interesting things about Crete. Another plus point was that the program of our day was changed a bit - Barbara said that we would go directly to Elafonissi and only stop at the Agia Sophia cave in the afternoon, as August is high season and we have a small chance on sun loungers in Elafonissi - which turned out to be the right decision! Everyone in the bus was given couches, half an hour later everything was full. In the restaurant we had the feeling of being mass-processed as there were some other tour groups on site and everything was very hectic and (my guess) some dishes were already pre-cooked and therefore not quite warm - but as I said, we were there in high season. Nevertheless, the excursion is absolutely recommendable!

Great tour and great guides, everyone should have seen Elafonissi! Thanks to Barbara's tips, we also found a nice place where it wasn't so crowded. A stop on the way back would have been enough for me personally (we drove to Hagia Sophia in the afternoon after the village of Elos instead of in the morning). Can only recommend the tour!
