  • Boat Cruise to Balos Lagoon & Gramvousa from Kissamos Port

    1. Boat Cruise to Balos Lagoon & Gramvousa from Kissamos Port

The boat departs from Kissamos Port and sails for about an hour in the bay, against a stunning backdrop of steep cliffs and rocks, incredible secluded beaches and the infinite blue. Have the chance to see a large cave, which is thought to be an ancient shipyard. At the end of the bay, the boat will sail between Gramvousa Island and Cape Vouxa. The landscape is breathtaking against the backdrop of Valenti, Pontikonisi, Balos Lagoon and Imeri Gramvousa. The boat shall arrive at the small port of Gramvousa, where you shall stay for about 2 hours. The location of Gramvousa, the Cretan nature, the legends and the turbulent history of the area exude a magical aura. The landscape is spectacular and the beach is adorned by a lonely shipwreck. The highest point on the island, atop a steep rock, at an altitude of 137 meters, is dominated by the famous castle of Gramvousa. You may also swim in the...

The weather was a little windy however it wasn’t too hot and we enjoyed the boat trip and the lagoon. Water is crystal clear and you can find a piece of pink sand beach there as well.

  • Santorini: Full-Day Tour from Crete

    2. Santorini: Full-Day Tour from Crete

Visit Santorini, the island neighboring Crete, and enjoy a short cruise in just 1 day. After pick-up from your hotel, head to the harbor and begin your 4-hour boat tour on the Cretan Sea. Upon arrival, see the white houses of Fira that lie high above the edge of the crater, and decide whether you would like to spend more time on this volcanic island. Wander the small town of Fira or visit the picturesque town of Oia. Enjoy the leisurely Greek lifestyle and visit a taverna or 2. Relax on the beach, enjoy the day by the sea, and simply leave your cares behind.

Well organized. I left from Rethymno. It would have been a better tour if the ferry trip had taken 2 hours in each direction and the extra 2 hours could behave been spent between Oia and Fira/Thira. That said, we got to see beautiful parts of Santorini and had some time to shop and sample Santorini cuisine. A very good tour.

  • From Souda Port of Chania: Private Sailing Cruise with Meal

    5. From Souda Port of Chania: Private Sailing Cruise with Meal

At 9:30 AM sail east out of the bay past the Souda Fortress on a small uninhabited island. If the winds are favorable stop to take a dip or some photos at the pebbled beach of the scenic white chapel of Agiannis. Follow the coast on the wind and marvel at views of the Ottoman fort high up on the hills and the fort of the Idjedin prison just below it. Continue past the seaside villages of Kalyves and Almyrida, around the Isle of Karga before reaching the lighthouse on the peninsula of Drapano. Again, if the gods of the winds are with you the boat will anchor in a tiny, secret cove for another quick swim. The wind will dictate if the boat sails northeast to a very small cove with beautiful sandy waters or otherwise northwest around another small island to a beautiful lagoon. Either way, the White Mountains (Lefka Ori) will be in view, serving as the backdrop to the cruise. After dropping...

What a day!! Captain Nikos was amazing. He made us feel very comfortable. I would HIGHLY recommend this trip to anyone who wants to have a wonderful, relaxing day on the water.

What people are saying about Chania

Amazing value for money. A lot of people but just about enough space to seat everyone- between 1 and 200 people? Great variety of hot and cold foods as well as drinks and even cocktails. Friendly staff. Can't fault it for the money paid - Balos Lagoon 3 hours and Gramvousa Bay 1.5-2hrs. It was superb!!

The game is worth the candle! The lagoon is something exceptional! only care! Do not rent the umbrellas on the boat because they are micro, rather hurry to get an umbrella with deck chairs on the beach! Eye are really limited in relation to the turnout

The trip started at 11:00, instead of 10:20, as previous users mentioned. The trip on the water was very smooth. Every seat was occupied. The food and drinks were great. The stop at Gramvousa was about 1h30min and 2h30min at Balos. Worth the money

The weather was a little windy however it wasn’t too hot and we enjoyed the boat trip and the lagoon. Water is crystal clear and you can find a piece of pink sand beach there as well.
