You’ll take the cable car up to Aiguille du Midi, which was the world’s highest cable car ride when it was launched in 1955. Enjoy breathtaking panoramas of this Alpine wonderland, with views into France, Switzerland, and Italy. Lunch will be at your leisure. You will also have the chance to ride the astonishing Montenvers rack railway to the Mer de Glace glacier. The journey on this electric train covers 3 miles of beautiful mountainous scenery before arriving at the longest glacier in France. You're free to spend the day as you please. Wander by foot to discover the town’s many delights, such as Parc Loisir, Musée Alpin, Lac Gaillands or Atelier Les Racines. Chamonix is the world capital for outdoor activites: mountaineering, alpinism, hiking, climbing, mountain biking, paragliding, trail running, and skiing.

Meet the pilot in Chamonix at the paragliding school to begin your tandem flight adventure. The pilot will prepare the equipment and ensure everything is in order. You’ll be provided with a helmet and a harness, which is the harness in which you will be seated during the flight. Next is a briefing about what is expected of you during take-off and the flight. After ensuring you are properly equipped, staff will take you to the cable car, and with your pilot you'll continue up to the take-off site. Then, all you have to do is enjoy your flight. Take in spectacular alpine views as you fly over Le Brevent, Chamonix, and maybe even a glacier.

The valley floor is low and the ski areas, of which there are 6 separate ones in the Valley, start at approx 2000 meters with lifts reaching over 3000 meters. From stunning glacial peaks, to gentle rolling slopes, each ski area has something different to offer all levels. There are 3 dedicated beginner slopes, Le Tour has the largest beginner's area, perfect for first timers. There is a vast array of intermediate levels, challenging and difficult runs throughout the whole valley. And for the advanced, slopes on the Grand Montets is the favorite to many locals, due to the sheer steepness and difficulty.

In 90 minutes by bus, you will follow the picturesque valley of the river Arve to Chamonix, one of the most famous mountain villages at the foot of the exceptional and majestic massif of Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Europe, 4,807 meters (15,770 feet). Take a breath of fresh air and stroll on the little streets full of charm. This busy little town is a popular place for day trippers; you will find many boutiques selling local produce such as cheese, meats, fresh Savoie honey, and famous brands of mountain clothes and equipment.  You can also try a  paragliding jump from Plan Praz in The Chamonix valley, since the stunning views are breathtaking.  You will be accompanied by one of the instructors for this magical 30 minutes. The total ascent is 1,100 meters, 11,840 feet.

After leaving Milan early in the morning on an air-conditioned coach, you will reach the Alpine town of Courmayeur. You can ride up the Monte Bianco Skyway cable car to discover spectacular panoramic views of the Valle d’Aosta and the French, Swiss and Italian Alps. On a clear day, you may even see Mattherhorn, considered to be the icon of Switzerland and shared with Italy. The first stop on the way up is at Mont-Frety Pavillion. Here you can visit the "Botanic Garden Saussurea", one of the highest in Europe which offers a rich variety of incredible, rare and beautiful alpine plants from worldwide mountain areas. You can also enjoy a typical lunch (not included) at the restaurant Bellevue, the local dishes retrace the Aosta Valley tradition with polenta and meat but international cuisine is also available. Whilst up at the pavilion, you visit the Cave Mont Blanc and the experimental high altitude winery. In the afternoon, you will take the last leg of the skyway to reach Helbronner peak. Here you can enjoy free time at the top to soak up the views, and from its height of 3,466 meters, the terraces of the Helbronner peak offers a 360° view of all the Italian, Swiss and French Alps. After you are full of fresh alpine air and loaded with pictures, you can regroup with your guide and travel back down into the heart of the Courmayeur town center. Once there you can browse the shops at your leisure, enjoy a refreshing drink on a sun-drenched terrace (own expense), or admire the many chocolate-box chalets and boutiques you find.

Mer de Glace Mountain Train Board the charming red cog railway up to Montenvers to enjoy fabulous views of Mer de Glace. This magnificent glacier is 7 kilometers long, and averages just under a mile wide. Surrounded by the impressive summits of Les Drus, Les Grandes Jorasses and Les Grands Charmoz, the Montenvers site is a natural living witness of the climate change of this era.
