Amazonas: Boat Ride with a Local Amazonian

1. Amazonas: Boat Ride with a Local Amazonian

See over a hundred houses floating on a lake, built on logs of a local tree that lasts for over 50 years in the water. Visit a "Pirarucu" fish farm, navigate through the flooded forest, known as "Igapó" and discover the phenomenon of two rivers meeting together. Enjoy beautiful scenery, while passing by boat at the same level of the canopy of some trees, with rivers reaching over 15 meters high. Visit a "Pirarucu" fish farm of the largest fish, reaching over two meters long and as heavy 250 kilos. Play with these river monsters with a fishing rod (without hook, so you don't harm them) and have fun, while feeling the power of their bite. Marvel at one of the most impressive and intriguing world phenomenons, when two rivers, so different in color, velocity, temperature and density run side by side without mixing their waters. Be invited to touch the waters, while passing from one river to the other and feel the clear difference of temperature. Return to your hotel after this great experience, with unforgettable memories.

This was a great tour! We were only in Manaus for a few days and didn't have a lot of time to plan, but I found this at the last minute because we wanted to see the Amazon River but only had a half day. We lucked out! These guys picked us up from our hotel at 1pm and had us back by 6pm. The tour was incredible (and in english) Our guide was a delight, he took us around to see the floating villages, we stopped off and ate at one of the floating village restaurants, and we got to see some of the huge amazon river fish. We had really wanted to check out the Meeting of the Waters and that was the last stop on the tour, but even the ride back was fascinating because they take you along the port side of Manaus and you can see all the shipping container ships unloading. Very cool, highly recommend for an easy but incredible adventure packed day trip!

This tour was fantastic! Milton is a very experienced, excellent guide who we (2 people) felt very safe with. He responded very well to our wishes and, through his expert explanations, brought us closer to the beautiful nature of his homeland in an unforgettable way. The water was very high, so we could see the wild animals in the treetops very well from the boat. We saw sloths, different species of birds, howler monkeys and much more. The rich flora glided past us, it was wonderful! Visiting the "Pirarucu" fish farm, where we were allowed to feed the majestic fish ourselves, was a very special experience. Milton strives to offer small-group tours so you can experience everything at your leisure. Thank you, it was unforgettable!

Great 3 hour tour that worked perfectly with our schedule. The guides were fantastic and friendly. They went above and beyond by giving us recommendations for our short stay (one day trip). Would use them again and do the other half of the tour (setting the pink dolphins and floating village). Thanks for a great tour!

Milton was great. He was very knowledgeable about the area and I appreciated his patience in answering all my questions. He introduced me to a local drink, “atomic bomb” which was delicious. I highly recommend Milton.

It was a great trip. Very knowledgeable and experienced guides. Made me feel at home in Manaus.
