Half-Day Etyek Wine Tour from Budapest with Meal

1. Half-Day Etyek Wine Tour from Budapest with Meal

Your half-day tour begins with a pick-up at your hotel in an air-conditioned minibus. Enjoy a drive to the Etyek wine region, just a half hour outside Budapest. En route you’ll learn about Hungary’s fascinating history and hear about the country’s long and rich wine tradition. After arriving in Etyek village, you’ll visit 2 unique wineries. These small, family owned boutique wineries produce about 15,000 to 20,000 bottles of wine each year, mostly sold in selected restaurants and from their cellars. Tour the cellars and taste 4 wines at each of the wineries. Finish the day with a rustic, 3-course home-cooked meal. Savor classic Hungarian dishes and discuss your wine discoveries as you enjoy your meal, perhaps enjoying some wine with your food. After the tour and meal, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Budapest.

It was truly brilliant. We (My girlfriend and I) were picked up from our hotel. The tour guide, Peter, was great, informative and a genuinely nice person. The tour felt authentic and not overly commercialised. We went to two small private wine producers where they told us their background, including why and how they produce their wine. Tasting such a variety of wines with different flavours was interesting. We were served lunch at the second place and it was nice. The photographs shown here on Get Your Guide don't do the tour justice.

Firstly we reserved the morning tour 10am-15 with the 4 glasses of wine plus dinner. However we got the better option afterwards as the hostage of the event contacted me and my friend and transferee our tour to 15pm-20pm with the an upgrade of 12 glasses of wine tasting + dinner. We had an amazing couple from Norway during our tasting. Wines were just perfect and food was delicious. Can’t be more satisfied after such good experience. Highly recommend to book this tour. You will definitely not regret this experience.

Best wine tour I have been on. Knowledgeable and passionate guide. Owners of the wineries were very welcoming and happy to invite us into their cellars and homes, and give in depth knowledge of their products.

Susanna picked us up from our hotel exactly on time and was very informative as our guide. The three wine cellars we visited were small and we had great interaction with the family owners.
