Your trip starts by redeeming your train e-ticket (received via email shortly after your booking) for the morning 07:57 train departure from the Central Railway Station of Athens to Kalabaka. After the scenic train ride through the beautiful Greek countryside, you will arrive at Kalabaka’s train station at 12:03. Meet your tour guide who will be waiting for you holding a signboard with your name. You will then board in a comfortable VIP minibus in order to begin an unforgettable journey to this true wonder called Meteora. During this guided tour you will have the opportunity to see all six magnificent monasteries and admire the interior of three of them. View some of Meteora’s most spectacular hidden gems like the ancient Chapel of Doupiani and the magnificent St. George “Mandilas” cave. You will also discover the “other side” of Meteora, like the truth about why the hermits settled in these imposing caves a thousand years ago and how the monks achieved the “impossible”. Last but not least, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views and capture some amazing photos that you will cherish forever. At around 16:30 get taken back to Kalabaka’s train station (or at a nearby local restaurant if the optional lunch is selected). Before the train back to Athens departs at 18:22, enjoy an hour of free time to explore the nearby center of Kalabaka on foot. The train arrives in Athens at 22:26

Redeem your e-ticket for the early morning departure from Athens at 07:57 AM and travel to Kalambaka using the train tickets sent to you in advance. Sit back and admire the beautiful landscapes along the way.  The train ride takes about 4 hours and it is recommended that you bring your own food and drinks. Upon arrival in Kalambaka at 12:05 PM, meet your guide at the train station and start your customized 5 hours Meteora tour. See all 6 monasteries of the stunning rock formation over 5 hours. Look inside 3 of the UNESCO World Heritage monuments for a glimpse behind their imposing walls. Stop to take photos of locations that only the locals know about. Have the chance after the tour for a nice walk in the city of Kalabaka and be prepared for the departure of the train at 6:22 PM. Be dropped off at Kalambaka Train Station to make the late afternoon departure for Athens.

Catch the train to Kalambaka in the morning 07.57 AM from the Athens railway station and enjoy a trip that will give you the chance to admire the beauty of the countryside. Arrive in Kalambaka at 12:03 PM, a small town built at the foot of the majestic grey rocks, and crowded by the Meteora monasteries. Your driver will be waiting for you holding a sign with your name, and you will board VIP Mercedes minibus that will transfer you to the Meteora monasteries (Meteora is included on the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites). For 5 hours, you will have the time to explore three monasteries. Visit the thousand years old hermitages caves of Bandovas, learn the stories and the legends, and enjoy great views from the most panoramic spots. At the end of the day, your driver will transfer you back to Kalambaka, where you will have the time to stroll around and have a light lunch (not included). At 18:22 PM, the train will depart from Kalambaka and arrive back at 22:26 PM to Athens.

Take a day out of your sightseeing in Athens to visit the spectacular clifftop Meteora monasteries on this full-day excursion by train. Catch the train for Kalambaka from Athens railway station. Admire the beauty of the countryside along the way before arriving in Kalambaka, a small town built at the foot of rocky grey cliffs crowned by the monasteries of Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spot your driver upon arrival in Kalambaka, holding a signboard with your name on it. Be shown to the vehicle that’ll take you to the monasteries, where you'll have time to visit 3 of them, as well as the hermit caves of Badovas. At the end of the day, be transferred back to Kalambaka. Enjoy some time to explore the town and enjoy a light lunch (not included in the tour price). Afterward, the train departs Kalambaka, arriving in Athens in the evening.

Day 2 Next morning, you will have the opportunity to choose the activity you prefer, the Meteora Hiking Tour or the Half-day Morning Tour. The guide will meet you in the lobby to explore together Meteora, and discover the natural beauty and cultural heritage of this area. Enjoy a journey back in time, and learn the stories of the first hermits and monks who laid the foundations of the monastic community of Meteora. At around 5 PM, the driver will pick you up to transfer you to the train station. At 5:22 PM the train departs from Kalambaka and arrives back to Athens at around 9:30 PM.

Your tour will begin from "Stathmos Larissis", the fabulous central railway station of Athens where you will depart to Kalambaka from. Throughout your train journey, indulge in the unique scenic routes that the Greek countryside provides. You can discover a mosaic of unique beauty, biodiversity and enormous ecological value. At about 12:05 PM, you will arrive at your destination, the railway station of Kalambaka. Once having arrived, you will meet with your guide who will be holding a signboard with your name on it. From here your tour to the Meteora Monasteries is going to begin. You can admire the amazing Christian architecture, and discover how monasteries have been influenced over time, having existed for over 700 years. After 4 hours of exploration, your tour will come to an end and you will be driven back to Kalabaka where you will have free time to spend under the shadow of giant rocks.The train back to Athens departs at 6:20. You will arrive back in Athens at 10:25 PM after a full-day exploring.

Day 1 Catch the morning train to Kalambaka at 7:20 from Athens Larissa railway station. Upon your arrival in Kalambaka at around 11:30, your English-speaking driver will be waiting for you at the train station holding a signboard with your name on it to transfer you to your hotel. In the late afternoon, the VIP minibus will pick you up from your hotel to join the Meteora Sunset Tour. Admire breathtaking views of Meteora and discover the hidden gems of this place on one of the best tours of mainland Greece. Day 2 For the next morning, you may choose the activity you wish to participate in such as the Half-Day Morning Tour of Meteora to see the main attractions, the monasteries of Meteora with a VIP minibus or the Hiking Tour of Meteora. Experience amazing sceneries and visit monuments of the Byzantine period. After this morning tour at around 13:00, the bus will drop you back to your hotel. Have the evening free to explore the area on your own. Day 3 Early in the morning, a taxi will pick up from your hotel to take you to the train station. At 9:15, the train will depart and arrive in Livadia station at around 12:05. There, an English-speaking taxi driver will be waiting holding a signboard with your name on it to transfer you to Delphi. Delphi is roughly an hour drive away from Livadia, so you will arrive at the archeological site at around 12:35, where you will be able to spend many hours exploring the ancient oracle, the museum and the small town. At 16:00, take the bus back to Athens. It will take around 2-hours to reach the capital of Greece from Delphi.

Be one with nature on this trip from Athens to Mount Olympus. Board a train to Katerini and see ancient and historical sites such as the site of Dion, the Platamon Castle, and the Bath of Zeus. Start your day by taking the morning train from Athens to Katerini. Be immersed in a scenic trip through mainland Greece and then meet your guide at the Litochoro station. Head over to the archaeological site of Dion where you will see where the ancient Greeks worshipped the gods of Olympus. Then, go back in time as you visit the grounds of the medieval Platamon Castle and marvel at the magnificent view of the Aegean Sea. Next, explore the natural landscape of Mount Olympus on your way to see the Bath of Zeus, which is found in the gorge of Enipeas. Finally, you will have some free time to discover the village of Litochoro and see the locals' lifestyle before boarding the train that will take you back to Athens.

You will independently take the train from Athens train station at 7:57 AM to Kalabaka and admire the beautiful Greek landscapes during your trip to Meteora. Arriving in Kalabaka at 12:05 PM, be picked up from the train station and transferred to check into your reserved hotel. After lunch, prepare yourself for the Meteora majestic sunset tour. You will be picked up from your hotel in the afternoon and after the tour be brought back to your hotel or to Kalabaka town for a short walk. The next morning at 09:00 AM, be picked up from your hotel and join a comprehensive Meteora morning tour or a Meteora hiking tour. For the next 4-hours, you have the chance to experience all the beauty of the unique phenomenon of Meteora and the holy monasteries on top of the rock giants. After the tour ends, transfer back to your hotel where you can get ready for your departure back to Athens. Your train will depart at 6:22 PM and you will reach Athens at approximately 10:30 PM.

At 18:00 the minibus will transfer you back to Kalambaka train station for your trip back to Athens. The train departs at 18:22 and arrives in Athens at 22:26.
