From Athens: Corinthian Gulf Guided Sea Kayaking Tour

2. From Athens: Corinthian Gulf Guided Sea Kayaking Tour

Our adventure starts at Alkyonidos beach, at 10.00am. Certified guides will give a short lesson on the beach, on the proper use of paddles and kayaks at sea. Then we are ready to go to sea and start our adventure. We will paddle for about half an hour until we reach the wonderful, quiet beach, the small Strava. Free time for relaxing on the beach and for swimming. Then we continue our journey, to reach after about 15 minutes a magical place where the locals call it "the seal cave", one of the purest and untouched places of the Corinthian. It is a rocky formation, a natural arch above the turquoise waters of the sea. Entering the arch, there is a cave that inside houses a magnificent beach with fine, white pebbles. We continue paddling observing interesting geological formations from the rocks and passing various caves to reach X beach. This is only accessible by sea. It has incredible waters, ideal for diving and swimming. Here we take our break and eat our snack. After swimming and resting, we start our return. We will stop at the cave of Fokia for one last swim, and we will end up at the beach of Alkyonidos, where we started.

What people are saying about Central Greece

An amazing experience to do while in Greece and one that we will never forget. Our guides Andriana and Pathos were lovely and accommodating, from picking us up from our hotel, to the kayaking and snorkelling. The food recommended to try was amazing and the view from the table was incredible. Seeing the sun setting from the Temple of Poseidon was something we will never forget. Would highly recommend this activity for visitors in the future.

We had a fantastic experience! Taxi pick up was very convenient. The sea kayaking was really fun and our two guides were really friendly. The view of the Temple of Poseidon was magnificent. We then visited the Temple with the added bonus of the sunset which was just breathtaking. Finally, we shared a meal with Greek specialties with our guide and the other tourists present. This excursion is a 5/5 from start to finish. Thanks !

We had an amazing day at Sounio, a real once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience. Kayaking around crystal water, and even snorkelling from a private beach made this excursion one-of-A-kind. Our guide was an absolute pleasure to have spend the day with us, he was both accommodating and helpful (aswell as a right laugh!). I would recommend this to anyone that’s looking to see Greece through a whole new lens.

I highly recommend this kayak trip. Our guide, Foivos, was knowledgeable, extremely pleasant and fluent in English, extremely capable guiding our kayaking in open waters, and shared much information about Sounion and Greece in general, and provided a wonderful meal at the end of the kayak trip. If I could give him 10 stars I would.

Very nice excursion though probably a tad overpriced.
