Full description
Meet your group at 9:00 AM at the local partner's office located on Caye Caulker. Get geared up, listen to a quick briefing on what to do and not to do to ensure the day is fun-filled and safe. Belize Barrier Reef is the second-largest coral reef after the Great Barrier Reef in Australia and the largest of its kind in the Northern and Western hemispheres. Several rare and endangered animal species are found in the area, as well as the world’s largest population of West Indian manatees and plenty of sea turtles. The snorkeling begins with manatees and turtles. Then, witness corals that have been protected for over 30 years at the Hol Chan marine reserve. The Hol Chan Marine Reserve was established as a marine protected area in 1987 and offers spectacular coral formations, plus a rich abundance and diversity of marine life.  After Hol Chan, dive with sharks in the Ray Alley. Stop for lunch onboard at 12:00 PM. After that, take the chance to explore an amazing shipwreck, coral gardens, and more turtles. The tour ends at 3:00 PM with two bonus sightseeing stops to see seahorses.

We had Salam and Raheem as our guides and we honestly had so much fun! They were knowledgeable, fun, and patient. One person in our group was not a strong swimmer and they held on to him the entire time AND made sure he saw everything. There are 6 stops- Swim with Manatees, Hol Chan, Shark and Ray Alley, Coral Reef, Tarpon Viewing, and searching for Sea Horses! The included lunch was so delicious. I highly recommend making this part of your trip to Caye Caulker.

Raheem and Eugene. You want these dudes to give you the knowledge and guidance that this environment needs and deserves. Bring a good riddle, Raheem likes a good riddle. Eugene is a good dude who will give you a proper in water tour and guide. Words just won't cut it, get in on it. Watch out for Maryjane the turtle, she's a kind old soul.

amazing experience. We were a group of four, so really small and super enjoyable. We met really few other people, so we basically had all the Reef for us. We made a lot of stops, and our guide SAlam was the best, he could spot an animal underwater from a mile of distance. We've swum with Manatees, Turtles, Lobsters, Eagle rays, Sharks, Seahorses, really anything. Was a wonderful day exploring the beauty of Belize, strongly recommended.
