What people are saying about Catherine Palace

This was a private family tour of Catherine the Great's Summer Palace, the Hermitage and the Winter palace with hotel pickup and drop off in a clean late model minivan The tour was efficiently run with punctual pickup and drop off at the various locations. There was a seperate driver and tour guide. The guide gave an oustanding background to the Romanov family which resembled the detail of a Russian novel. This was as well as information specific to various exhibits. We had teenage children and our guide initially sanitised parts of the story but we indicated we were happy to tell it as it was and she happily complied. Our children were not upset.

Our guide Olga was there on time. While traveling to the palace, she already told us a lot about the palace, but also about the city itself. We loved the public transport part, because it is genuinely part of the Russian experience. Our guide was very kind, social and knowledgable. Although she was so kind to bring us all the way back to the hotel, we suggested to do the last bit ourself. The palace itself is really impressive and with the stories of Olga it even came more alive. Highly recommended.

Very good city tour which allows us to understand the history and the topology of the places. Excellent guide with perfect explanation and comments, in perfect French. Let yourself be guided and watch. We gave free rein to the guide to choose the places. Special mention for the docks, a new abandoned district which is being rehabilitated on the shores of the Baltic. Interesting.

great way to get an overview of the key sites of St.Petersburg, Valeria was an excellent and very knowledgeable guide. Everything was very well organised, and Andrey was a very good driver, and the minibus was very comfortable. would not hesitate to recommend.

Great palace, great guide, an extraordinary experience. Discovery of the local suburb via public transport from another time. Visit of a sumptuous palace undergoing rehabilitation and very difficult to access because it is very popular!
