Be sure you have plenty of time for this experience. Our guide was running just a few minutes behind, then took a little longer than expected in the building, and we had to run to a train without climbing the dome. I knew we were going to be cutting it close, but was disappointed it didn't work out. The chapel itself was fascinating and our guide was good, but would have really appreciated a bit faster pace. We booked a 3pm tour and our guide told us we could go to the climb entrance at 4:30, versus the tour description made it sound more like the climb would start at 4:00. It was a crummy rainy day, so I'm not heartbroken.

Very knowledgeable, animated, punctual, friendly and interesting. The other couple in our group had no familiarity with the history the significance of Florentine history and the Catholic Church, but Jiacomo patiently explained how the Duomo evolved through mid evil times to present date and his remarks were interesting and comprehensive.

The guided tour was incredibly informative and this ticket helps you see a lot. The dome climb is a MUST. You get stunning views of Florence. This is a pretty steep climb up which they only recommend for those willing to climb over 400 steps in tight conditions.
