Split: 1.5-Hour Walking Tour and Diocletian's Palace
- Duration: 2 hours
Very worthwhile overview of the historical background of the Diocletian Palace, setting the ground for further exploration on our own. Guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and organized. Group was not too big (it was divided when they realized number of attendants was a bit high) and we could listen to her talk easily.
The tour was fantastic and Sandra was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and was able to share her perspective as a Split local which we really enjoyed. She really went over and above to make sure we enjoyed the tour. Her passion for the history of Split was clearly evident and we loved it.
Great tour, captured the essence of the history of the city and how the last 1700 years is meshed into how Croates work to day to keep this alive, living in today. Our tour guide, Natasa, was simply brilliant and brought everything to life vividly.
Anna our guide is very friendly and informative. She showed us not only the history of Diocletian but also about the port and its current status. She also pointed us to local taverns and Marian Hill for a good viewpoint of entire Split palace.
We had a really great tour with Sandra. She explained the history in a really funny and very interesting way. She took her time and also told us about things that weren't originally part of the tour, like the filming spots of Game of Thrones.
