Teresa was a lovely guide. She shared lots of facts and stories about Syracusa and Noto. We started by stopping at the archaeological park for about 1.5 hours which was just enough time to walk through the whole park. In January 2023, the “tomb of Archimedes” (not that actual tomb) was closed. We then drove to Syracusa and walked to the island of Ortygia. We ate lunch there and later traveled to Noto. Incredible views, plenty of photo opportunities. Highly recommend buying something from the food market in Ortygia.

The tour was great, the guides didn’t rush us. But the ruins were self guided as it mentioned in the description, the flow of seeing all the available attractions in the park required more time so would be good to ask for 2-2.5hrs for it rather than try to complete it in 1.5hrs. We really enjoyed Syracuse and our guide Irene was a wealth of knowledge for Sicilian myths and legends as a background to what you see and saw on the island. She also gave us great recommendations for Catania. That really made the tour worth it otherwise it seemed a bit pricey compared to other tours we’ve booked on this site.

The toor was very good, the guide was adequate (he could provide slightly more information), the vehicle was a bit tired (no a/c working on the front seats). The organisation was great, enough time to explore Ortigia and Noto with our guide. It needed at least half an hour (and some more information) on ancient Syracuse.
