  • From Madrid: Ribera del Duero Tour of 3 Different Wineries

    2. From Madrid: Ribera del Duero Tour of 3 Different Wineries

Journey to the Ribera del Duero wine lands and stop at 3 wineries in the heart of the Duero Valley. Sample the acclaimed wines of the region and learn about old and new wine-making techniques. Hear how grapes are grown in extreme weather and listen to stories about the families that turned the area into one of the world's most popular red wine producers. Journey back to the Middle Ages and encounter medieval villages and historic castles.  After visiting the first two wineries, there will be free time from around 1:00 PM-2:00 PM to have lunch (at own expense). You can lunch with a guide in a traditional restaurant with several options of Castilian regional food, ranging from tapas, a light lunch, or a full 3-course lunch (approximate budget = tapas €12-15, Full 3-course €30).

We had an amazing time! Kike was an excellent guide!! We enjoyed going to the 3 very different wineries and experiencing the wine and the wine making process in such different ways!!

  • Segovia: Hot Air Balloon Ride with Optional Pickup Service

    3. Segovia: Hot Air Balloon Ride with Optional Pickup Service

After taking off at dawn from a field front of the Hospital General Segovia, you will begin a 1-hour flight over the Segovia region. You will attain a height of up to 1,000 meters. During your flight you will have photos and videos taken of you, whilst you are transported high above the ground by an experienced pilot with years of experience. You will be tracked by a rescue crew through the duration of your flight, and will undergo a champagne toast celebration at landing, then a breakfast and a certificate. This tour is a brilliant opportunity to gain a different perspective of such a scenic region of Spain, and a perfect opportunity for those that have never air ballooned before, and those wishing to experience it again.

I was picked up on time from my hotel in Segovia. It was fascinating watching the balloon being readied. I have mobility issues but the team and passengers helped me in and out of the basket. The flight itself was great. I suffer from vertigo but it was brilliant. Would recommend to anyone.

  • From Ajaccio: Sanguinaires Islands Sunset Boat Trip

    4. From Ajaccio: Sanguinaires Islands Sunset Boat Trip

Watch the sunset from one of Corsica's best sunset locations on this boat trip from Ajaccio. Get the chance to explore the largest of the Sanguinaires Islands, Mezzu Mare, and enjoy a glass of wine and charcuterie board onboard. Board your speedboat in Ajaccio and set sail for Mezzu Mare, where you will moor for an hour. Explore the island on foot and visit a 19th-century lighthouse for panoramic views of the entire archipelago or take a dip in the crystal-clear waters. On your return to the boat, sit down to a delicious charcuterie tasting board served with Corsican rosé wine. Relax as the sun sets over the Mediterranean Sea. Finally, enjoy one last dip in the warm waters of the sea before returning to the port.

The trip was well planned and the tours were informative and worthwhile. The only reason I gave this a 4* rating is the lunch was not very good. Nacho was an excellent guide and our bus driver Sous did a good job driving so many miles. We learned a lot about Spanish history.

This was an excellent tour. Raul was an amazing guide. He has a strong understanding of wine and the region that he gladly shares to enhance your experience. The wineries selected were hospitable, beautiful and showed lots of different sides of the wine making experience. Really beautiful, great wine and a great way to spend a day in Madrid! We will definitely be back!

The tour is perfect! The bus is comfortable, the tour guide speaks several languages and her English was perfect. The lunch was fabulous and super yummy. The amount of time given to tour each town was just right and we were able to fit some tourist shopping in too.

Tamar was a wonderful guide for our tour of these three beautiful cities and our driver Suso was superb. If all the guides and drivers are this good, this is a must do tour for anyone looking to explore the countrysides surrounding Madrid.
