Calanques Cassis Hike: Port-Miou, Port-Pin & En-Vau

1. Calanques Cassis Hike: Port-Miou, Port-Pin & En-Vau

Embark on a 6 km hike departing from Cassis. Cross the creeks of Port-Miou, Port-Pin, and one of the most famous, En-Vau. Discover sensational landscapes as you trek along the crystalline waters that meander like fjords. Start by exploring the 1400m long Calanque of Port-Miou that houses a marina and conceals a rich heritage. Learn about a former site of exploitation of a limestone quarry and an underground river. Along the coast, continue until you reach the cove of Port-Pin, marking the entrance to Marseille. Discover a winding cove home to a pretty pebble cove with turquoise waters which you can, if you wish, taste the freshness of its waters during a break. Start to gain a little altitude, which will gradually take you up to 90m above sea level, to the En-Vau belvedere, revealing its beach in reverse, low and buried between the high cliffs.

From Marseille: Cassis and Marseille Panoramic Tour

2. From Marseille: Cassis and Marseille Panoramic Tour

Take a drive along the Gineste and the Crests roads to Cape Canaille to marvel at the exceptional view of the Bay of Cassis and the Gardiole mountain range, on this half-day tour from Marseille. The harbor in Cassis is the most beautiful feature of this ancient fishing port. Enjoy a panoramic tour of the city of Marseille on the return trip, including a stop at the basilica of Notre-Dame de la Garde. From this hill you’ll have breathtaking views of the Phocaean city, the Frioul islands, and If-Castle. Drive along the Corniche Road, a visible indicator of the wealth of the merchants of the 19th century, who also built magnificent, ostentatious homes. See the 11th-century Saint-Victor Abbey that keeps guard over the entry to the old port.

This supervised visit allows you to let go and enjoy 200,000% of the ride, neither too long nor too short. We visit 3 superb creeks with explanations and moments of silence that allow us to feel all the positive energy that this place brings us. To do to share with family in love with friends..

A beautiful and varied tour that is neither physically nor informatively overwhelming, and which also offers scope for individual activities without time pressure.

A must see, however the departure should be earlier, for fall and winter to avoid darkness
