Cartagena: Beach Horse Ride and Colombian Horse Culture

1. Cartagena: Beach Horse Ride and Colombian Horse Culture

Ride a horse along a scenic beach in Cartagena with a bilingual, English and Spanish-speaking guide. Find out about the local Colombian Paso Fino horse breed, and enjoy a small-group experience for no more than 6 people. Begin your activity with hotel pickup in Cartagena and get transferred comfortably to the ranch. Upon arrival, listen to an in-depth explanation about the Colombian Paso Fino, see how well the horses are cared for, and watch a demonstration of what they can do. From there, you'll be taken to the beach and paired with the perfect horse for your experience level, whether you've never ridden before or are an expert rider. Set off on your ride along the beach, and feel the smoothness of your horse's gait — paso fino means fine step. Disconnect from everything and tune in to the sound of the waves. Enjoy the sea breeze on your face, and have your photos taken by your guide so you can just focus on having an amazing time. After a couple of hours, you'll be taken to a beachfront restaurant where you can enjoy the ocean and sun while lunch is served before you are taken back to your hotel.

What people are saying about Cartagena

Short Version Honestly was the best excursion my wife and I booked while in Cartagena. It's not just about the horse riding portion (which was great!) but the whole experience that Luis and his daughter Maria created from the moment we were picked up from our hotel until we were dropped off again. Luis and Maria's passion and attention to detail is what made the experience so enjoyable. The fact that they even provided stunning pictures and videos from the whole day is even more remarkable! So this 5 star review isn't just about them meeting expectations but really more about how much they exceeded them. So Luis and Maria thank you again for a truly unforgettable experience!

this was a wonderful experience for my husband and i. luis and his daughter picked us up and gave us a history/background of the horses at his ranch. once we went riding, they were very patient in teaching us the best way to handle the horses. additionally luis took several beautiful photos that he sent to us later. after riding we had lunch at a local hotel which was very good. i would definitely recommend this tour, and would love to do it again in the future.

Amazing time. The guides were wonderful and super nice and helpful. The horses were beautiful and a great ride. The food was fantastic. The whole experience was one I will never forget. I highly highly recommend to all.

Way surpassed my expectations. The guide, horses, pictures and dinner were all exceptional. You won't regret booking this tour
