Luis and Maria were excellent tour guides. This father-daughter team will ensure you get a deep appreciation of Colombian Paso Fino horse history and culture. Luis is a horse enthusiast and vet. He was able to answer all my questions related to equine health. While at the stables, they showed me all the horses there and about what makes each of them special. Luis discussed the concept of “brio” as well as diagonal back lateral horse leg movement. While riding one of the horses at the beach with Maria, she also spoke about some of the histories of the horses at the stables. The first horse I rode was such a delight! It was a smooth riding experience. He loved being in the water on a hot summer day. The second horse I rode, a mare, had brio that was a 9 on a scale of 10. Her enthusiasm and exuberance was clear as I rode her. She was also smooth to ride. The delicious lunch was grilled chicken with savory sauces, fries and coconut rice. This was my favorite experience during my vacation.
This was very fun! You can tell the owners really had a passion for horses and they were awesome hosts! We learned so much about different types of horses and their gallops and we got to meet their horses before riding. The food was provided at a nice hotel on the beach; it was delicious. We thought we would spend more time horseback riding, but it was only 1 hour of riding. Nonetheless, it was fantastic! It was a cool experience riding on the beach and in the water! Would highly recommend!
Melissa (Mel) was simply amazing! Not only did we eat some of the best food we ever had, she gave us so much knowledge about the history and heritage of the beautiful City of Cartagena and beyond!
The food was amazing. Everyone was very nice. The girls there gave amazing massages. Definitely recommend and will be returning when I visit again.
Amazing experience, seeing the plankton is really worth it! Guides were friendly and helpful as well.
