Spend 2 days exploring the amazing sites of Cappadocia, taking in the unusual rock formations, including the world-famous fairy chimneys. Visit an underground city, trek in a canyon, enjoy spectacular area views and more. Detailed Itinerary Day 1 (Meals: lunch) You’ll be picked up at your accommodation at 09:15AM and head out on the first day of your Cappadocia tour. See the moon-like landscape of the Devrent Valley and the fairy chimneys of Pasabaglari and watch a Hittite pottery demonstration in Avanos. Enjoy an open buffet for lunch, followed by a visit to the Uchisar rock castle. Take in the panoramic views of the Goreme Valley from Esentepe. At the Goreme Open Air Museum see the monastery and its rock-cut churches and frescoes. Stay overnight at the Asia Minor Hotel. Day 2 (Meals: breakfast, lunch) Get picked-up from your hotel at 09:30AM and start the full day South Cappadocia tour. Start the day with a hike along the Red & Rose Valley, the most breathtakingly and mysteriously beautiful valleys in the region. The valleys, with their fabulous volcanic rock formations, are in the heart of Cappadocia but well away from the mainstream tourist haunts. The hike will end in Cavusin Cave Village, where you will see a rock castle and troglodyte dwellings where people lived until the 20th century. The Kaymakli Underground City is one of the largest and deepest of Cappadocia’s many such settlements. This city is approximately 40 meters deep and contains all the usual rooms found in an underground city (stables, cellars, storage rooms, refectories, churches, wineries etc.). End the day with a visit to the Pigeon Valley and have a spectacular view of dovecotes, old abandoned cave homes and old Greek houses of Uchisar.
