Full description
Your driver will pick you up at your hotel to begin a 6.5-hour tour full of incredible natural formations, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and many different types of ancient art. Your day begins with an exploration of Cappadocia, in particular Devrent Valley. This Valley is also known as “Imagination Valley”, which you’ll understand once you arrive. You’ll see countless different types of Fairy Chimney formations, which formed almost 30 million years ago. Following this, you’ll head to the Zelve Open Air Museum, one of the oldest settlements in Cappadocia and one of the 3 UNESCO Sites in the park. This is an amazing cave town with dwellings built into the sides of rock formations. Now a ghost town due to unsafe erosion, this place once housed Christians and Muslims in harmony with each other. Next, visit Pasabag, where you’ll see some more Fairy Chimneys: they’re sure to call to mind the Shire from the Lord of the Rings, or the Smurfs. Close by, visit a local village’s pottery shop and see how people survived and created beautiful art in this region dating back to the Hittite period. Sit down for lunch in a local restaurant and rest up for the second half of the tour.   After lunch, visit the Goreme Open Air Museum, which contains some of the best cave churches in Cappadocia. Admire the frescoes adorning this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then, head to Uchisar Castle and Pigeon Valley, two of the best spots for photography in the whole world.  Hit the road again to return to your hotel—but before you get home, you’ll stop at Goreme Panorama Point to see the beauty of Cappadocia from a different angle.

This tour was absolutely exceptional! I went with my parents. Our guide, Jan, was amazing and very descriptive. The tour was a perfect combination of beauty and history. Plenty of time for photo ops and enough time for souvenir shopping. We saw everything that was already listed, but the service, company, and sites exceeded our expectations. The COVID-19 measures were great. We wore masks and sanitized frequently. In Goreme Open Museum, Jan also took us through a great route to avoid stressful walking, while making sure we saw everything. The guide was tremendously friendly and knowledgeable. I normally have ample questions and he explained everything in great detail! The guide’s friendliness and exceptional delivery of knowledge exceeded our expectations. If you go on this tour however, make sure to ask everything possible! There are so many unique stories for instance how places are named, details of the civilizations, etc. Overall, fantastic tour and would 100% recommend.

The tour was very nice and it's completely worth the price. Faruk was an incredible guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. We visited some pretty nice places, and we felt like the time in each stop was more than enough (Faruk always asked the group how long we wanted to stay in each stop). The lunch was very good, also. Faruk chose a restaurant off the beaten track so we wouln't be in a crowded touristic place and it was delicious.

Great snapshot tour of all the main sights, as there is a lot on the itinerary it’s 10 or 15 mins at each location for some pictures, but plenty of time is given to explore the open air museum. This isn’t a bad thing as places like Pigeon Valley look fantastic but after a few pics there isn’t much else to do so it would turn rather boring if you hung around any longer. My guide Sumit (not sure if that’s spelt correctly!), was fantastic, he was upbeat, informative and very approachable. Face masks were provided if anybody needed one and hand sanitiser was available, as a lot of the tour is in big open spaces you only really needed them for the coach so you can still look good for your pics!
