    Cape Town's natural beauty is world-renowned, however, few have experienced its sights and sounds from the fresh blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean. It is unmatched with its combination of scenery and wildlife, it's just magic. Leaving the venue at the calm waters of the V&A Waterfront, you will paddle into the fresh movement of the ocean where you will encounter the active local marine life and possibly catch a glimpse of some local dolphins, whales, seals, penguins, and sunfish. You will also witness unique views of Lion's Head, Signal Hill, the Twelve Apostles mountain range, and a local shipwreck. The tour will then finish with a breathtakingly photogenic view of Cape Town's treasure, Table Mountain. This location is one of the most photogenic places on earth. No previous experience is needed. The boats are extremely stable and the guides monitor the ocean conditions carefully so you will be perfectly safe. The venue is located in the V&A Waterfront parking garage, next to the Oranjezicht Farm Market & the Lookout Function Venue.     • What to bring: change of clothing for after the tour, wind breaker in case the weather cools down (if you have, otherwise the supplier can provide), sandals (if you have), sun protection, sunglasses, water bottle (available to purchase at the office), and GoPro or camera/phone if you wish to film on the water.

    We really enjoyed our experience overall. We were not very impressed by the guides. We were late to start and it definitely wasn't as long as two hours (as was advertised). The tour finished 40 minutes earlier than it was supposed to. So in that respect it was quite disappointing. We also felt that the guides could have been more interactive. They just chatted amongst themselves and went ahead of everyone. In the beginning of the tour we also saw dolphins and instead of waiting to see them again the tour guide insisted we keep kayaking and get on with the tour, but we came back early anyway so that was a bit confusing. But it was still a wonderful experience. We saw dolphins, seals, and jelly fish.

    The Marine Life Kayak Tour was exceptional. We went during lockdown and as it is the start of the upcoming season we were lucky enough to be the only travellers on the tour. Our guide was charming, friendly and knowledgeable and we enjoyed having him to ourselves. When we went at the end of August it wasn't too windy and was a gorgeous sunny day, perfect to bask in the 360 degree views of Robben Island, Table Mountain, Lion's head, the V&A and the harbour. The activity itself isn't too strenuous and you can enjoy yourself even if you aren't an experienced kayaker.

    I’ve done kayaking twice with these guys and loved it every time! What a beautiful way to see Cape Town and Table mountain differently. We saw so many dolphins swimming around us, and the guides were friendly and enthusiastic! It has definitely been the highlight of both my trips to Cape Town. I highly recommend it and will definitely be doing it again.
