Full description
Join this nature-lovers activity to go on a 6-hour guided excursion into a UNESCO-listed nature reserve in search of thrilling rock-jumping opportunities. Your tour begins with a mild hike through the Steenbras Nature Reserve to the natural rock pools known as “Crystal Pools”. You’ll be submerged in the beauty of the Fynbos floral kingdom as you’re guided along the 2-kilometer hike to the pools.   Once you arrive at the pools, you can choose what you’d like to do: go swimming in the pools, or relax alongside them and enjoy the picturesque surroundings of one of the Western Cape’s best nature reserves. For adrenaline junkies, the pools have a number of rock jumps that range from 7 meters to 22 meters high.   Your day concludes with a healthy lunch and a few drinks at a “sundowners” location.

This experience felt super local. We went during the week so there was literally no one else there...we had the entire reserve to ourselves. Our guide told us interesting stories and facts on the region, vegetation etc. It was brilliant. We used the Local Knowledge Travel App to find really cool, local recommendations throughout the remainder of our trip. 5 star company

This tour was brilliant! My friends and I booked last minute and were blown away by the beauty of the Crystal Pools. Our guide was very passionate and made us feel very safe (even when we cam across a troop of baboons.) Local Knowledge Travel is an amazing company! I look forward to seeing their new travel sounds amazing!

This day was so much fun. Our guide was super friendly and informative. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we booked 3 other tours via their website. They also let us try out their new Local Knowledge Travel App which helped us find some really amazing recommendations and secret spots that we never would have found on our own. Thank you Local Knowledge! We will be back
