Canoa Quebrada: Our most recommended tours and activities

From Fortaleza: Morro Branco, Fontes, & Canoa Quebrada Beach

1. From Fortaleza: Morro Branco, Fontes, & Canoa Quebrada Beach

Your first stop will be in Morro Branco, about 50 miles (85 km) from Fortaleza, where you will walk through the beach and see the main feature of Morro Branco which includes the cliffs with colorful sands, formed by years of erosion caused by wind. After that, you will do a brief visit to Fontes Beach, in Beberibe.  The last stop is at one of the most popular and visited beaches in Ceará, Canoa Quebrada. The red cliffs and the lifestyle of the natives give the old fishing village of Aracati, 175 kilometers from the fortress, a different energy from anywhere else. Canoa Quebrada is famous for being home to Broadway do Nordeste, a street diverse in cultures and types of gastronomy. When arriving in Canoa, head to the beach shack with all services you need. The rest of the time will be free for you to enjoy the beach, take a great swim in the sea, and taste the wonderful local cuisine. The return of the tour takes place around 4:00 PM, with expected arrival in Fortaleza at 7:00 PM.

The beaches and the landscape was great !!!! Just great. Of course, the total journey time was a bit long at around 4 hours. But from Fortaleza the sights are about 160 km away. Attention: The driver cannot be expected to speak in English / German. The passengers may not (Brazil!). So as a German you should be able to use the sign language or a little Portuguese.

Great excursion, the guide was very caring. Too bad the only language spoken was Portuguese. The first and second beaches are done by buggy. Count 400 real for a 4-person buggy. It's optional however if you don't take the buggy you can't do much. I recommend.

Pick up on time at the hotel. Friendly staff. The beaches are really amazing! Morro Branco is stunning! A lot of hidden costs but you can easily avoid them. And the tours are still beautiful!! Very long trip so sleep well the day before. But it’s worth it a lot!!

Great tour, unfortunately nobody really speaks English so communication wasn't easy.
