Amazing snorkeling tour, ideal for everyone: experts, little or no experience. Get ready to remember this tour as something outstanding during your Cancun vacation. Tons of colorful fish, living coral reefs, turtles in their natural habitat and an impressive shipwreck, are waiting for you in this 2 hours ride under the sea, where the entire area does not exceed 4 meters deep, with warm, calm waters and very light sea currents. Our marina is located 1 km away from the reef, approximately 5 minutes by boat. The Snorkel tour is divided into 4 visits, with 3 dives: First visit: Enjoy the (El Meco) coral reef, one of the best preserved in the Great Mayan Reef, full of fish and marine life. The reef has depths of 2.5 to 4 meters with different coral formations and schools of fish. Second visit: Our second visit is to an underwater museum, where we will admire two underwater art galleries, art interaction and the environment in the Caribbean Sea. Beautiful works of art, with a spectacular turquoise blue background. Third visit: The point for finding turtles, we have 96 to 98% chances of finding 1 to 5 turtles. We can also find and swim with manta rays. Fourth visit: Visit a sunken boat, full of marine life, multicolored coral and schools of fish of different species. It is a semi-submerged boat and perched on a sandbank that makes around it, a natural pool of turquoise water, it is impressive!

What people are saying about Cancún Underwater Museum

This excursion was SO FUN! We saw countless fish, one large bat ray, two sea turtles. Alex and Oscar were amazing guides!! Pick up and drop off from the hotel was perfect. Recommended for couples and families who want to snorkel ~2 hours (it can get a little exhausting and you're swimming a lot of the time). Not recommended for kids or anyone who isn't comfortable swimming, even though you're provided life jackets, as well as a snorkel mask, breathing tube, flippers. Bring your own sunscreen and towel. For the best experience, book the 7am trip because no other boats will be out there! By noon, the water is packed with other tours. It's also tricky to get pics unless you have underwater equipment (such as a waterproof phone pouch - still sketchy) or GoPro. You can pay I think $60 for your own photographer to come on board with you and take pics of you throughout the trip. None of the passengers on our boat did it, but sounds intriguing for special occasions. Would book this trip again!

Highly recommended for a family activity. Very professional guides. The boat ride is just amazing especially as it goes into the narrow water path. The snorkeling part was good but I had higher expectations as to the different types of fishes.

fantastic experience, Jorge was a brilliant rep , well worth a look , boats are nice and fast too and even tho only 2 hours we'll worth the tour

Very entertaining staff and excellent experience with the dolphins
