I would have given 5 stars for this excursion however our guide was not very good. The cenotes themselves were great as was the lunch provided. Our guide just kept disappearing without saying where he was going, leaving the group confused about where to go or what to expect. I noticed he was driving the van as well. Perhaps he was going to get the vehicle? Regardless that needed to be communicated to the group and maybe even a separate driver provided.

Experience in Cenotes of the Xcaret group, extremely organized, educated guides and concerned at all times with the safety of the participants. Throughout the day we make 4 places with incredible cenotes and in each of them a different experience. All sterile materials, very delicious food. 1st Cenote - canoeing and semi-open Cenote that we enter through a cave, 2nd Zipline Cenote, 3rd Cenote by rappelling in a Cenote inside an incredible cave and the last Cenote open with swimming until a Mayan sacrifice (whoever skips from the end of the Cenote) Super recommended !!! - our Guide Cintia was excellent and the photographer who accompanied us, Uriel, were the best! I saw some notes saying that the photographer was expendable, but for me he is totally INDISPENSAVEL !!! the most incredible photos that were taken were by the team photographer. And the price charged is not abusive.

      Fun but commercial

Very well organised. Luis was an exceptional guide. We were the only English speakers in our group but Luis managed to ensure he kept us fully briefed throughout. The activities where fun and the Cenotes are beautiful. My only negative is the commercial side of xcaret, I didn’t feel the need to have a photographer with us all day and the Cenotes themselves didn’t feel as natural as I’d perhaps like.
