I booked this activity as a surprise birthday present for my boyfriend during our time in Tenerife. This is a fantastic activity; even if you are not the keenest of astromoners! We were picked up by our driver John who was very friendly and explained the itinerary of the trip in detail. We met up with the other travellers at a restaurant where we enjoyed a basic meal. We then travelled above the clouds to watch the sunset, accompanied by a glass of cava which was a lovely touch. We then carried on up towards the summit to view the amazing stars and planets. Kieran and Craig were so informative and friendly when describing exactly what we were viewing - you can really tell just how much they enjoy what they do. It was very cold towards the top and a lot of standing around between using the telescopes so it is important to wear warm clothes for this activity. All in all a brilliant trip we will remember forever and I recommend anybody to book.

Absolutely fantastic day! Booked as a surprised for my boyfriend’s birthday as a day out on our trip! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, a real entertainment! The boast spoke many languages and was very funny. We did this tour in November and was surprisingly still beautiful and hot! the perfect glimpse of natural paradise, felt like a very well spent 4.5 hours! Free flowing drinks and a nice little lunch, was relaxing and everything felt more than accommodating by staff. Got to go on a speedboat and do some swimming and snorkelling included in the price, with options to take part in very reasonably priced watersports! Really recommend, feel very happy with this for the price we paid, and will be back if we visit Gran Canaria again! Thanks Afrikat team!

Amazing activity with friendly and interesting guides. Beautiful viewings. Nice diner, good cava and at the end really nice to have a hot chocolat. Be aware that it can be really really cold on Mount Teide at night. We only had 4degrees, while the temperature at the seaside was 20!!! We loved the acivity and would certainly recommend it.

The stargazing location was also ideal for sunset. At the beginning a lot of interesting theory about the stars and the universe was told. Then selected stars and planets could be observed through one of the two telescopes. My personal highlights are the moon and Saturn.

Very well run tour. Useful information about Tenerife while driving. The German-speaking guide was particularly great, as well as providing general information with other facts (he mentioned bonus knowledge) from the world of astronomy. 100% recommend.
