Day Trip to Venice by High-Speed Train from Rome

2. Day Trip to Venice by High-Speed Train from Rome

Set off on a day trip from Rome to reach Europe’s most romantic city, in just a few hours, by high-speed train. Your tour leader will be with you all the way from Termini train station, escorting you to the platform and onboard. Uncover the wonders of Venice, and receive a one-way pass for Venice’s waterbus transportation. After reaching Venice in less than 3 hours, enjoy a one-way ride on the Venetian typical public transport, the waterbus, or Vaporetto. It will be a fantastic opportunity to get the first glimpse of this magical city and its breathtaking views. Get to St. Mark’s Square, the heart and soul of Venice’s historic centre. From the waterfront, marvel at the magnificence of the western façade of St. Mark's Basilica. Take this opportunity to go shopping or sip a good Italian coffee in one of the historic venues in the centre, or get lost in the maze of insanely romantic alleys. Cross the Bridge of Sighs (Ponte dei Sospiri), which is among the city's most beloved and most Instagrammable locations. On the way back to the railway station, join your tour leader for a fantastic aperitivo, or Cicchetti, as the locals call it: a mix of small savory side dishes, typically served in the so-called bàcari, and accompanied by the famous Venetian Spritz, before heading back to Rome.

Venice is absolutely gorgeous place to visit. Our tour tour is amazing , she went and beyond to make sure our trip to Venice from Rome goes smoothly since my husband is handicap. She coordinated thru the train staffs to trsport my husband’s scooter. The crews are waiting for us when we got to the train stationed. When we got to Venice the vaporotte / ferry is the best way to get around Venice if you have mobility disability. I defiantly recommend this tour to everyone. If you have more time spend at least 3-4 days in Venice. Thanks Rossella for your professionalism and taking care of us.

Excelent!! You have to trade the online tickets in a shop. After buying online tickets you need change the voucher to fisical tickets . I exchanged them in Alilaguna Ticket Office, in front of Giardinetti Reali in San Marco (open 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM) - get out of vaporetto - stop s. Marcos - s. Zacarias. Follow in front and you will find the office. Then I went direct to the dodge palace with absolute no lines and after the Correr Museum, National Archaeological Museum, Biblioteca Marciana. All in s. Marcos square. Absolutely no lines in August. Totally recommend it !!!!

Very very nice museum! To do absolutely but without GetYourGuide too expensive and too complicated to get these tickets! The museum plus and other option is useless, apart from paying more for not much.

Tour guide was responsible. Instruction was clear. He even told me an authentic Venice sea food restaurant. Totally worth it.

Wonderful trip, despite being very tiring. It's really worth it!
