Full description

Hike Caminito del Rey, a suspended walkway surrounded by a scenic landscape, with a guide on a trip from Málaga. Along the route, learn the real story behind the construction of this great work of engineering.

Hop aboard a bus from Málaga and travel to Ardales. Receive a safety briefing from your guide and strap on your helmets. Start the one-way hike of Caminito del Rey at the North access and make your way to the South access.

Pass by mountains that emerged millions of years ago and vertical canyons born by the force of the Guadalhorce River. Listen to stories of adventurers and climbers. Hear about the visit of one of the most powerful men in the history of Spain, King Alfonso XIII. The trail has a length of 4.8 miles (7.7 kilometers) but is a simple walk, especially with your guide keeping you company. At the end of the trail, return to your bus and be driven back to Málaga.

Well organised trip and only just over an hours drive from Malaga. We had Rachel as a guide and she was enthusiastic, passionate and very informative during our time with her. Plenty of opportunities to take pictures along the way and not once did I feel rushed. Great trip and would highly recommend

Excellent experience and great organisation! Before going for the tour considered renting the car and going on our own, but during the tour understood that going with the group eliminated all potential hassles, from getting there, parking the car, gaining entry, to getting back…. Would definitely advise the organised tour as best option for anybody considering this trip. And, of course, Hose Miguel (sorry if I misspelled it) was a perfect guide with his romantic, plant, animal and other stories! Thanks for the great experience!

Booked easily online and directions to pick up point were exact. Bus travel to Caminito del Ray was very ideal due to public transport not being accessible if you want to go early. Sarah the guide was lovely and bubbly and made the informative and fun. Caminito del Ray itself is a must visit! The view, the architecture, the weather you name it, it is such a beautiful magical place!
