We booked it online before going to Cambridge which works quite well , it’s quite expensive if you do it on the day ,, as long as it’s not windy and stormy, punting carries on !! Lovely sight seeing tru the canal , the lady dispatcher was very good and the guide is ok too , it is a must to do if you are going to Cambridge! Shared punting is definitely cheaper than going privately , it’s all the same Scenery , same buildings , same colleges and Same bridges in one canal you are going to see unless you don’t want to share .

This was well worth the money. Our guide Bradley grew up in Cambridge and was very informative. The tour is very scenic and jam packed with history and photo ops. It starts on the Cam from the southwest tip of the Jesus Green park and goes down to the Mathematical Bridge and back. When we got there they gave use a time slot. For us it was about a 20 minute wait but there are a number of pubs/restaurants within a block’s walking distance to wait at, or you can just walk around the park.

Made our day out, worth every penny

We booked online and went to the riverside - the only downside was then having over 2 hours until the next available punt. The trip itself was great - our guide was only 17, but so confident and full of personality giving lots of information and keeping us entertained. Really enjoyed the experience and totally made our day out one to remember!
