Versailles is beautiful and a must see. If you have bought a metro ticket for 5 zones, you can get there with this ticket. You take metro line 4 to the Pont de Sevre terminus. From there take bus 171 to Versailles. Takes 40 minutes and was packed. You can safely skip the restaurant Angelina: too hot, too busy and not beautiful. The beautiful rooms in the castle are really impressive. We rented a golf cart (75 minutes, paid 48 euros). You had to stay on certain lanes, if you steered in a direction where it was not allowed, the cart stopped automatically and you could only go backwards. In retrospect, renting a bike is cheaper and you can see and stop more. The park was much too big for us to walk through alone.

Best snorkling is out by "the rock" on the end of the island toward the lighthouse. We did not make it to the lighthouse. Be sure you have good watershoes as a lot of the beach is broken coral. That is difficult to walk on. The beach by the rock is nice sand. We saw a turtle, stingray and lots of fish. The lockers to keep your stuff safe were not available and you are not allowed at the resort unless you are a paying guest but we had a snorkle guide who watched our things so that was nice. No incidence of losing anything.

Excellent trip and great value for a FULL day of entertainment. Boat and crew were very helpful, and gear supplied worked very well. Not a good swimmer no prob as they offer for very small fee an excellent intro to snorkeling course. Fitzroy Island such a beautiful place with plenty to do and explore. You will not regret this trip, I will be back.
