Get picked up at 3:00 AM from your hotel in Kigali and travel northwest to Mghahinga National Park for approximately 3 hours. Day 2: Explore Kigali - Visit Genocide Memorial - Bwindi National Park Start your day with breakfast served buffet-style at the hotel beginning at 8:00 AM. Dig into a variety of fresh breads, pastries, and hot and cold dishes. Leave your hotel at around 9:00 AM for a morning of discovery in the Rwandan capital of Kigali. Learn about the city's past and present.  Visit the Genocide Memorial, which remembers the mass slaughter of a million Tutsi, Twa, and moderate Hutu in 1994. At around noon, take an hour-long break for lunch at a local restaurant. Then, after lunch, set off for Bwindi National Park on a 3-hour journey. You will stop briefly at the border to Uganda to clear with customs and then continue your trip. Arrive at the lodge and have time to settle in before dinner. Freshen up in your room with a private bathroom. Make use of the amenities including a restaurant and bar. Have dinner at around 7:00 PM in the lodge's restaurant. Depending on the lodge that is available, you will likely be just minutes away from the main gate of Bwindi National Park.  Day 3: Mountain Gorilla Trek Have a buffet-style breakfast from 6:00 AM. Then, at 7:30 AM, take a drive of about 30 minutes to the National Park headquarters to meet your guides for the day.  After completing the park formalities, embark on a once-in-a-lifetime experience of tracking mountain gorillas. Learn how the park is home to over a third of the remaining 1,000 Mountain Gorillas in the world. Walk for two to four hours through thick bush and over steep, rugged terrain at elevations ranging from 7,000 to 9,000 feet. Once you spot the gorillas, spend up to an hour watching these incredible creatures from close by. Depending on the length of our trek, you will return to the lodge by about 1:00 PM and have lunch at 1:30 PM. At 2:00 PM, check out of the lodge and drive for 4 hours back to your hotel in Kigali, arriving in time for some last-minute shopping and a transfer to the airport or hotel in Kigali.

Embark on an adventure from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park on a 3-day tour with a professional guide. Spend time hiking through the montane forest to discover and observe mountain gorillas and other wildlife in nature.  Day 1: Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park After breakfast, at 7:00 AM, your driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Kampala and begin the journey to the southwest of Uganda. First you will travel through central Uganda. Stop for lunch in Mbarara at the famous Igongo Cultural Centre. From there, continue on through Rukungiri District, passing villages, cultivated farms, and hillsides before you reach the Buhoma sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Check in at Gorilla Valley Lodge or Travellers Rest Hotel where you will stay for two nights. Enjoy dinner and rest before the next day’s adventure.  Driving time: approximately 9 hours Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Arrive at the starting point of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park at 7:45 AM for a briefing before your day of gorilla tracking. At 8:30 AM, begin the trek through the forest. After finding the gorillas, you will be able to spend up to 1 hour observing them. All visitors are expected back at the starting point by 7:00 PM. The walks can take 3-9 hours depending on where you find the gorillas. Keep in mind, this is real hiking and uneven terrain, so being physically fit is recommended. A special evening with the Batwa people is also included. Day 3: Return to Kampala After breakfast, the last part of the journey will bring you back to Kampala. Stop in Mbarara for lunch. After Masaka town, you’ll make a stop at the Uganda Equator for a tea/coffee break and the opportunity to buy souvenirs. You will be dropped off at the hotel of your choice in Kampala. If you are continuing your journey somewhere else or returning home, your driver will bring you to the airport for check-in. Driving time: approximately 9 hours

As overexposure to humans is harmful to mountain gorillas, contact is limited to one hour—and there is the possibility that they may become agitated and retreat back into the bush in less than our allotted time. You get so close to these awesome giant primates. You stare at each other blankly not knowing who to break the long silence first. Tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virunga is a magical experience. These massive primates are extremely rare, with less than 1000 living today. You will get within meters of the family, and be privileged to spend an hour amongst them. The trekking may be fairly strenuous; up to 3 hours or longer at a relatively high altitude. It is important to bring good hiking boots, long trousers, gloves for protection against stinging nettles, some snacks & sweets (for you, not the gorillas) as well as sufficient water as the rain forest gets hot and humid during the day. You will spend one hour with the gorillas, but it is an hour you will never forget. Depending on the length of our trek, groups will return to our lodge by about 1pm. Afternoon: Return back to Kigali and drop off at your hotel or airport for flight back home.

Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Kibale Forest NP Your driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Kibale Forest National Park. Meal plan: Lunch and Dinner Lodge: Turaco Treetops Lodge/ Similar Day 2: Chimp tracking Kibale Forest and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP Have breakfast and head to the rangers’ point where you will receive some briefing on the dos and don’ts during chimp trekking. Thereafter, you will proceed to trek the chimps in the Kibale Forest. Later transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Lodge: Marafiki Safari Lodge/ Similar Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon boat trip along the Kazinga Channel Be up early and have your breakfast. Proceed for a morning game drive in the park during which you will see Lions, Elephants, Leopard (though a rare sighting), Cape bushbuck, Cape Buffalos, Defassa Waterbucks, Giant Forest Hogs, and Uganda kob among others. In the afternoon you will go for a 2-hour boat trip on the Kazinga Channel. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Lodge: Marafiki Safari Lodge/ Similar Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi with en-route game drive in Ishasha area Have breakfast then set off for Bwindi Impenetrable NP through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park famously known for its resident tree-climbing lions. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Lodge: Bakiga Lodge Day 5: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Lake Bunyonyi After breakfast you will transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing before you set off through the tracks to search for the gorillas. You will go with packed lunch because it’s hard to determine how long it will take you to meet these humble giants. However, the time ranges between 2-9 hours depending on the movement of the giant primates. The activity is tedious, it entails walking along steep hilly tracks however encountering these great relatives of man erases all the poor memories/ hardships you went through in trying to find them. Later continue driving further south to Lake Bunyonyi. A very beautiful lake with 29 islands which might make you feel like you are out of Africa. Lake Bunyonyi is the second deepest lake in Africa after Lake Tanganyika. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Lodge: Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort Day 6: Transfer to Lake Mburo NP and enjoy the evening game viewing Have breakfast and set off to Lake Mburo NP. Drive past the intensely terraced Kigezi hill slopes into Mbarara town and finally Lake Mburo NP. Arrive in the park in the early afternoon and take some rest before proceeding out for the late afternoon (evening) game viewing. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Lodge: Rwakobo Rock Resort Day 7: Mburo park (nature) walk and transfer to Entebbe or Kampala Enjoy your early breakfast and proceed for the Mburo morning park/nature walk in the presence of an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger/guide. Day 1 Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, then be picked up and transferred to your hotel in Kampala. Enjoy a city walking tour if you arrive before 12:00 PM local time, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included on your first day. Day 2 Depart for your first destination, the Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Afterward, head to Murchison Falls National Park. Hike to the top of Murchison Falls followed by dinner and an overnight stay at a 3-star safari lodge. Day 3 After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive. Spot 4 of the Big Five game species, lion, water buffalo, leopard, and elephants. Enjoy an afternoon boat trip on the River Nile where you may spot hippos, Nile crocodiles, buffalo, and several bird species. Later, go on an evening predator game drive. Day 4 Enter Kibale Forest National Park for a 7-hour scenic drive through local villages and towns. In the evening, rest up at a forest camp. Day 5 Embark on a day of tracking chimpanzees and other primates. See species including Grey-cheeked mangabeys, Colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys, and L'hoest's monkeys. In the afternoon drive, through Queen Elizabeth National Park. Day 6 Head out on a morning game drive through the Kasenyi plains where you will spot elephants, buffalo, kobs, warthogs, waterbuck, and potentially some leopards and lions. After lunch take a leisurely cruise on the Kazinga channel. Day 7 Depart for Bwindi National Park with a game drive through the Ishasha sector (home of the tree-climbing lions). Arrive at the Bwindi Forest in the afternoon. Day 8 Hike through the dense Bwindi Forest with an experienced ranger in search of the resident gorilla family. Enjoy 1 hour of time watching the gorillas. Continue to Lake Bunyonyi with an evening-time motorized canoe ride on the lake. Day 9 On the penultimate day, travel to Lake Mburo National Park. Check-in at the Mburo Eagle's Nest hotel, before an evening game drive. Day 10 Embark on a short game walk before departing for Entebbe. Stop for lunch before being dropped off back at Entebbe International Airport to check-in for departure flight. An extra night's stay in Entebbe for next day's departure can be arranged on request.

Entering dense stands of bamboo interspersed with open glades; you will make your way deep into golden monkey territory. Guides lead visitors to the habitat of groups of ‘habituated’ golden monkeys – monkeys that have become accustomed to human presence. Though viewing is kept to a maximum of one hour, travelers can get an up-close look at the golden monkey in its natural habitat. Adult monkeys frolic in plain view, feeding on bamboo leaves and leaping from perch to perch. Females carry their young, completely comfortable among onlookers. Later visit Iby’iwacu Cultural Village a Non-Profit umbrella organization that aims at improving the lives of reformed poachers and communities around Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park through provision of conservation incentives, supporting community enterprise development and livelihood based projects. Return to your hotel to freshen up and have lunch then later Transfer to Kigali arriving early afternoon. Afterwards we bid our host goodbye and transfer to Kigali airport for your departure flight back home. End of the Adventure

Day 1: Leave Entebbe and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Depart in the morning after breakfast and drive south-westwards to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi is best known for its Mountain Gorillas, primate presence and spectacular bird population. En route, you will have a short stop at the Equator for an educational talk as well as a photographic opportunity. The journey then continues to Mbarara where there will be a stopover stop for lunch. After lunch, drive on wards; a drive that will take you through Uganda’s rolling green hills through the highlands, also known as the ‘Switzerland of Uganda’ before making the final journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the mountain gorilla. Although the hike can be physically demanding, the anticipation of the exciting experience ahead is amazing, and the beauty of the gorilla forest and its inhabitants are fascinating. The chance of spotting these lions is about 70% though sometimes they are hard to spot (most especially when they are down in the grassland looking for prey). You will have lunch at Igongo cultural museum and a detour of the museum for a true cultural extravaganza from the great stories, artefacts etc. Across the road from the museum, visit and climb the imposing iconic “Biharwe Eclipse" monument, which was dated by astronomers and historians to have taken place in the year 1520 AD. This was the only scientifically dated event in the early history of the Great Lakes region, the eclipse, which was acknowledged in the legends of Bunyoro, Buganda and Nkore, became the key benchmark that was used by historians to determine royal genealogies of those kingdoms.
