Busselton: Woylie and Nocturnal Animal Tour

1. Busselton: Woylie and Nocturnal Animal Tour

Join an evening tour to observe a colony of Woylies in their natural environment. A very rare, nocturnal little macropod with personality, woylies are small relatives of kangaroos. Visit the Margaret River Region to view these amazing, but critically endangered creatures.  The tour begins with accommodation pickups half an hour before sunset, before a short drive to Yelverton Brook Conservation Sanctuary that has allowed exclusive access for this tour. On arrival at the sanctuary, a short guided bush walk will take you to the animal viewing site. As the first of the woylies appear, you'll learn about some of their wonderful characteristics, and interesting facts about the area. Other Aussie wildlife may be seen during the tour including kangaroos, bandicoots, and possums. At the end of your woylie encounter, you'll be returned to your pre-arranged drop-off location.

Highly recommend tour especially those with kids. Something completely different and special to see the nocturnal wildlife of the local area. Fantastic knowledge of local flora and fauna by Ryan and Mick. The Billy tea and freshly made biscuits were great also

Very nice and respectful encounter with Australian nocturnal animals in their own environment. Nice and enthusiastic guide. With a lot of information about the plants and animals and their lifestyle.

Mick and Ryan are excellent guides. They are extremely knowledgeable about the animals, the bush and the area in general. They are passionate about their business.
