What people are saying about Burgenland
Great to get out of the city and see some of the surrounding countryside on a short break to Vienna. Guide was excellent and spoke English and Spanish fluently for the small number of guests in our party. Would have liked to spend a wee bit more time in Mayerling as there was a lot to read! Unfortunately, it started snowing when we were in Baden and our visit was cut shorter than usual as we were all frozen stiff, couldn’t take as many photos as I wanted due to my phone switching itself off with the cold. A young Korean exchange student in our party was fascinated by the snow, as she’d never seen it before! Definitely worth a visit, but perhaps in warmer month than February.
The Abbey was wonderful a feeling of great fraternity and calm. Mayeling was a very sad place no birds singing although it was a sunny day. Tour manager was excellent and travel through the woods was wonderful.
Enjoyed visiting the seegrotte and little boat trip. Would have liked more time to take in the Cistercian’s monastery. Felt abit rushed there. Enjoyed the scenery and driving through the Vienna Woods.
It would have been nice to know before we booked that the caves tour is no longer possible, as this was the main reason for booking the tour, website needs updating. However, it was still enjoyable
Excellent guide very knowledgable accommodated weather
Except for knowing exactly where to meet, the tour was excellent. Loved the Second monastery. Changed itinerary because of weather, and still was excellent. Would recommend.
