Full description
St. Stephen's Basilica is one of the most beautiful neo-classical buildings of Budapest and is the venue for the organ concert. The arias of the program are performed by Kolos Kováts, one of the most famous and talented concert and oratorio singer in Hungary. He received the Liszt Ferenc prize, Merit of Art and the Kossuth Prize. I enjoyed the concert. It was really well organised and the venue is amazing. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 as the organ used is an electric organ at the front of the church, not the church organ. It was explained once we had arrived that the authentic church organ is only played once a year on Christmas eve due to UNESCO listing.

Excellent musicians (organ / voice / flute), wonderfully selected musical pieces. Especially impressed the singer who I think was intimately familiar with the acoustics of the hall and masterfully combined his actual voice with the voice's echo. That was astonishing! The played pieced were on the pop side of classics (Mozart's Eine kleine Nachtmusic, Bach's Prelude and Fugue in C Minor etc) which was a perfect fit for a summer-night crowd. 5 starts!!!!!

The concert was very impressive . The ticketing procedure before the concert was very slow and primitive. It was requested to arrive 20 minutes before ,but we were there even 30 minutes before. The ticketing took above then 40 minutes and concert was initiated without any concern that attendees still outside.
