Full description
Explore Budapest through its food and wine in the best way possible. Enjoy a selection of authentic Hungarian tastings during the city’s most delicious tour. Let your favorite local foodie take you and your group of friends on a culinary journey. Meet and greet your host at the Central Market Hall and start with a yummy welcome treat. Take in the market’s lively atmosphere, splendid architecture and rich aromas. Let the fresh products dazzle you, before grabbing a bite of a typical Hungarian sausage. Enjoy it like the locals do and add some pickled vegetables on the side. Then, head to Pest’s lively Jewish quarter and make your way to the most unpretentious, and homey Hungarian restaurant in town. Savor the simple ingredient goulash soup with its incredibly tasty flavor. Your host will tell you all about the history behind the nation’s favorite dish. Continue to the city’s first street food court and walk through a hip and colorful community garden. Enjoy the cool vibe while checking out different food stalls. Your guide will show you how Hungarians like to drink wine. Just pick your favorite glass of fröccs and enjoy it with a piece of Budapest’s favorite street food - fried bread with cottage cheese. After, make your way to the pioneer of all ruin pubs and get ready for a sweet treat. Pick up a freshly made chimney cake, grab a coffee, and make your way to a lovely wine bar.

Really liked this tour. Only issue was finding our guide at the start. We were in front of Great Market Hall at our start time, but could not find our guide as she was not holding up anything to alert us that she was the guide. We called the number on our voucher and the company contacted the guide, who we just happened to run into thankfully. Once we got going, the tour ended up being very good. Had a brief tour of the market hall, had some sausage and bread that was excellent, and a chance to buy a few things at one of the stalls. Then on to the Jewish quarter via tram where we went to an outside food court and had mici which was great. then moved on and had a nice lunch at a traditional Hungarian restaurant. Then on to one of the best Ruin bars which was really cool. Eclectic for sure with wild decorations throughout. Had a beer here and chance to rest up for a few. Then on to a pastry shop to have the famous tunnel cake, which was fresh and tasty. Tour was overall good.

The guide was so helpful and nice! We had interesting and good talks about everything and learned a lot about Budapest and the food culture! All the food is very heavy so you won’t need any food after. Only one drink was included in the price, so we paid for some more drinks, to make the experience even better

This is great way to learn about Budapest while trying delicious Hungarian foods. Tiberiu was an amazing guide and showed me a lot of great spots in the city. I highly recommend this tour.
