Bucharest: Night Life Tour

2. Bucharest: Night Life Tour

A few steps from the city center, the residential area begins so you will get to visit one of the local neighborhood bars. Things there are totally different. You will find relaxed, casually dressed locals interested in an open conversation with you. Also, let’s not forget about the prices which are about half the prices from the Old City, making it a great reason for a good start. The next step will be to get in touch with the most interesting bars of Bucharest. Depending on your preferences, you will have a large variety of concept pubs, starting with minimalistic, funk and traditional to the more posh and glossy ones. In the end but only at the halfway point during the tour, you will switch to a club. Imagine that Bucharest is competing with Ibiza in this field, the atmosphere is more than incredible.

Escape from Bucharest: Mogosoia Palace, Snagov & Therme Spa

3. Escape from Bucharest: Mogosoia Palace, Snagov & Therme Spa

This monastery dates back to 1408 and it is believed that Vlad Ţepeş, also known as Vlad the Impaler and a brutal ruler of Wallachia in the 15th century, is buried here. Curious about the man who inspired Bram Stocker to write his famous novel, Dracula? Come see the reality behind the lore. Afterwards, relax in the biggest covered thermal park in Europe, the Therme București. It is not only a thermal water park, but also hosts the biggest botanical garden in Romania. Day Trip to Slanic Salt Mine

4. Day Trip to Slanic Salt Mine

Start the day at the Slanic Salt Mine. This salt mine, located in a wonderful environment was opened for the first time in 1938. In order to reach it, you’ll go 400 meters down. The microclimate inside makes it a favorite spot for both locals and travelers — there’s a constant temperature inside of never more than 54 degrees Fahrenheit (12 degrees Celsius) which is much preferred in a hot summer.  Your next stop will be a unique and odd place: the mud volcanoes. These small volcanoes stand just a few meters above ground and they exist because of a unique combination of water and natural gases creating a moon-like terrain. Next, visit Ciolanu Monastery, well-known for its late 19th-century icons painted by famous artist Gheorghe Tătărescu.
